Fabulous dinner with friends last night , they haven’t been before , we wanted to take them somewhere special in the area and we were not disappointed and they were impressed.Super country pub with great food , staff friendly and efficient.Highlights: venison shank , sticky toffee pud

The bar and dining room have a really relaxed feel and are spacious.Food was excellent and reasonable priced for what is available, as is breakfast.There's a small selection of craft beers on draught and in bottle, all served by cheerful and friendly staff.The room was slightly small and with a view onto a roof but there is free off street parking directly outside the rooms ( which are not attached to the bar / restaurant ).

Nestled in a little village on the way to the Borders the Horseshoe Inn is possibly one of my favorite spots to eat. We didn't stay the night here.On entry you're greeted by a friendly front of house member of staff and they get you seated promptly and give you a while to lull over the drinks menu.
