I'm all for supporting small roll shops like this over Greggs etc but I paid £5.90 for a takeaway Cappuccino and a Square roll here the other day which I believe to be absolutely obscene.Maybe I wouldn't have been dissatisfied enough to leave an honest review if the Lorne sausage had actually been from a butchers or even if they were to give you more than one small bit but the roll wasn't even buttered. It was margarine and the worst part of all was the sausage came out of a heater which was a bad sign straight away.I wish I had walked out at this point or maybe ordered something else that was actually fresh. They only do raw onions too and not grilled ones which I found to be strange! There was a a que to get served so I held out. Maybe my expectations are too high but you would pay the above price in the New Town near some Toffs offices not in Penicuik.

Just had the best breakfast roll in my life! The staff were smiley and friendly and my food arrived in no time at all. I even got to choose whether my fried egg was soft or hard! Nothing but perfection and a great start to the day, thank you!

Was excited to check this place out since I had heard the coffee was the best in penicuik. Unfortunately the cappucino tasted like hot milk. I wouldn't even say it was a latte, it tasted very bland. However, the bacon roll and empire biscuits tasted great!I'll definitely be back to this place, just probably won't order any more coffee though.

What a find! Food was delivered in great time, in lovely packaging and hot. Delivery driver was lovely which is always a bonus. I will definitely be back.

It's a takeaway breakfast place nothing exciting. Quite expensive for quality, but it's fine.

Possibly the worst roll I've ever had! I like crispy bacon but this had been cremated, should have been binned. The fact that the roll was bone dry didn't help matters. For the quality of food supplied, was well overpriced. Don't think will use again unfortunately.

Good lunch stop. Baguettes were lovely with a great amount of filling. Option or crusty or soft baguette was great. 2 baguettes and 2 cans of juice for under £10 suits me perfectly!

Thoroughly miserable service. I very politely ordered 2 lorne sausage rolls. One woman took my order and another woman came out and as she threw the lorne sausage onto pre margerined rolls asked "Do you want sauce?" I replied "Brown sauce please". She then went on to apply tomato sauce and I said "I asked for brown sauce" to which she replied "Right" in a curt manner. I was about to say "It's ok I'll take them both" but, no I didn't get the chance. She threw the roll across into a bucket before getting another one. Neither the pair of them could crack a smile between them. It's really not that hard to have manners. I will NOT be back.

Stopped at Brunch Box on a whim while road tripping from Edinburgh to the Lake District, could not have been happier with the service or the food. The woman working there even happily made a off-menu item for my vegetarian girlfriend.
Very good sandwiches and cakes. I always pop in when working near.
