As a French guy it was the first pub I ever experienced, and it was a great place ! Friendly staff and people (they offered us pounds for the pool and even for the jukebox, two things we usually don’t have in french bars). That was a pretty good looking place too and the drinks were not too expensive.
Has been refurbished and lounge is comfortable. Meals reasonably priced and delicious. My female partner is vegetarian and had a child's pizza meal as it was only meatless thing on menu, but when I told staff why I had ordered it, the chef said that if we visited in future he could do a vegi dish for her. Great service. Only minus is that it advertised craft ales outside but none on sale. Cider was OK. Limited menu but recommend for bar lunch. Friendly staff
