There were 19 of us for Christmas lunch, all preordered, service was good and staff friendly. The portions of main course were far too big and only 3 of us cleared our plates. Unfortunately, as in previous years, the vegetables were not fresh, they were frozen and did not taste nice. The starters and sweets were a good size. Smaller mains and fresh veg please.

Took my family for dinner. Food was great quality and quantity. Staff friendly and helpful. Took to the bar after which had the football on. Mixed age groups, all welcomed and a cosy fire.

Came here since the hotel I am staying in did not bother to take my order after a 15 min wait. Found this place nearby and so glad I did. Right from the time I entered, the staff was very welcoming. Ordered the crispy haggis which came out promptly. This was followed by the steak pie. WHICH WAS AMAZING. The meat was cooked so well that it melted in your mouth. And the pie was so flaky. So glad that I walked out of the previous place....this place is a hidden gem
Only had drinks today. Nice outside area, good real ales.

Was just here for my grandads funeral, considering there was 120 of us there, we were all served very quickly, compliments to the friendly and very efficient staff, bravo? one suggestion would be for the management to have more lagers available, as the selection of beer/lager was limited, but still had a great experience at the Navaar.

We maybe were in the right place at the wrong time, the "chef" wrong time.Tried to give us first sausages heated it up in the microwave, the second time raw sausages, but finally the third time the chicken tenders were perfect.Thanks to the members of the front of house that came back from the kitchen 2 times time to deal with the "bored" chef for us.Service impeccable ??
