Very cozy place, staff is very friendly. I've tasted the best cappuccino of Edinburgh . The cakes are homemade and very good. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic cafe with great coffee, home made mouth watering cakes, fabulous wholesome soups - a gem of a cafe, what a treat! Very cosy and welcoming ambiance too if you want to sit-in.

It’s a wee gem. The best takeaway hot chocolate I’ve ever had (dairy free! and they also have gluten free cake) Just what I needed after my walk with my dog. Looking forward to coming back! Thank you! :)

Very remote, but a great stopping place to charge up before a hike, or wind down after one. Food is decent, and matches the price point.

We stopped here today after a beautiful walk. My 4 year old daughter had a ham toastie and declared it the best sandwich in the world. We also enjoyed the soup we had. Would definitely recommend and we look forward to trying the cafe again ❤️

Came in before and after our walk around the hills and tracks! Was introduced to a nice little comfy area with a good wide selection of foods and cakes and some very good coffee! Will drop in again

What a wonderful find! Stopped for a light lunch here, having used Trip Advisor to find somewhere near Castlelaw Hill Fort. This tiny gem of a cafe is tucked away in the old ranger office at Flotterstone car park. It has been beautifully transformed into a delightful cafe, with sit-in facilities as well as outdoor seating or take away. We sat in. The vegetable soup, served with warm bread was so delicious; the choice of sweet things irresistible. Both chose the cinnamon and apple cake - wonderful!! Served with fresh, hot coffee. Great presentation; wonderful, friendly service. Highly recommend.

Stopped off for a bacon sandwich, some cake and some hot chocolate after a couple of hours on the mountain bike. The quality of food was excellent and the hot chocolate was superb. I would have no hesitation in going back the next time I'm in the area.

When asked if they catered for my wife's low carb diet they responded with enthusiasm. The combination they put together was delightful which pleased her no end. I am not on the diet so indulged in 1 bacon roll & 1 with sausage which were both made with quality meats and were absolutely delicious. The excellent coffee (Americano) is definitely worth a mention too. We will be back.

A little bit expensive price but the fresh coffee and comparely small cake (especially the honey cake) are good choice for the people need a break.More than 50 parking lots, toilet , outdoor tables for your doggies. You should try to feel the place.

Looks lovely. However bought 2 small bottles of orange Juice and can of soft drink over the counter for take away, it cost £9. Make sure you ask for a price before purchase. I could not see an obvious cost advertised as I paid. This price for three non alcoholic drinks is too high for carryout and I felt it was almost an ambush. The costs are probably shown somewhere but it's not obvious enough. I would not purchase from them again without knowing what I am paying.
