Had a half fish supper, fish was fine chips were absolutely rotton and for the price so so so disappointing. Over £7 a 'half' fish and disgusting chips. I rarely leave reviews but I just had to leave a review as it was awful. Would not recommend.

Decent chippy, when the food is fresh. When it's delivered its hit or miss.Kid-friendliness: They have a small kids menu.

Probably the worst fritters I've ever been served in my life. Soaking with oil, burnt, bland and falling apart. Avoid and go to The Penny Cook 2 mins walk away.

No excuse for food this bad. Just make fresh food and stop cutting corners. First time ordering here and it will definitely be the last.

By far the best chip shop in Penicuik.

Worst fish and chips ever. seriously cook the fish fresh. There ate enough reviews giving the same feedback. Please listen.

Mushy peas off! And sauce on the five pieces Scampi... no flavour in either fish and chips or Scampi and chips

Got to agree with others on this. Really poor. Surly teenage staff, expensive, poor quality and "haddock" must be a brand of reconstituted tilapia. 16000 folk in this town and IT IS SCREAMING FOR A PROPER CHIPPY. It is not rocket science running a good chippy. FRESH HADDOCK+FRESHLY COOKED=WINNER served with a smile(costs nothing) honestly it is that blooming easy. Ask any award winning chippy and "FRESH" is the key ingredient for success.

Really hit or miss, had some decent enough (though not at all outstanding) fish & chips from here, but after the one we had two weeks ago we'll not be bothering again. Haddock supper was definitely not haddock, it was dry, mushy, and the batter was soggy and wet. At the price of a fish supper these days it should at least be edible.
