We were hiking and camping in the local area and were just passing through. We stopped quickly for something to eat and we were not disappointed. Upon going in to the Mckays chippy, I was a bit worried, its the fanciest chippy I've ever been in and I'd been rolling about muddy fields for days, but no one made us feel awkward. Waste of money. Ordered online and collected at allocated time. Meals were cold and I've had much better fish and chips at lots of other shops. Would not return nor recommend.

Called in for a quick bite, a portion of chips. They were freshly cooked as was everything else I saw leaving the frying area that all looked very nice & well presented. Smart clean area to sit & eat or just takeaway. Chilled water ? available help yourself. In the warmer weather outdoor seating area is also available. Efficient friendly staff.Parking: Limited local on street parking with timing restrictions through the day.
