The most positive of this pub is that it was dog-friendly, it was open late (like at 14.00) it was very central, and not that expensive. We did not think the food was that great thought, ok but not great.”

“To a North American eye, this has the look of a place that you might have reservations about, but it was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten. Absolutely come here if you’re in Uig! My honey whipped feta appetizer was delicious - and nothing like anything else I’ve had before - but the cullen skink ordered by someone else at the table still blew it away. I live in Atlantic Canada, I’ve spent time in Maine, but that was hands down the best fish soup I’ve tasted. The salmon flaked at the touch of the fork and was almost buttery, the potatoes were delicious enough to deserve specific mention, and I’d be more than happy to see that whiskey cream sauce served with all entrees everywhere ?. The sticky toffee pudding, while not quite reaching those heights, was also very tasty. Throw in sweeping views of the harbour and friendly and efficient service despite a full house, and we have a definite winner.”
