Great place to have a pint when you're visiting Portree. Cool 60s 70s soul music, warm vibe (there is even a TV showing a log fire burning). It feels like a classy and welcoming bar, but also chilled, you can rock up in your outdoor fleece and enjoy some reasonably-priced quality drinks. Recommended.
Our visit to The Merchants Bar has made our trip, despite it being exceptionally busy the 2 young bar tenders were amazing. They made my dog, Zeke, the star of the bar and made him feel so welcome which is a treat as I'm aware not all bars accept dogs. They had good chat, kept us informed with the update with a table and couldn't have done more. Omdat het in ons hotel verre van gezellig was, waren we blij dat we hier een leuke plek hadden gevonden om ’s avonds een lekker biertje en wijntje te drinken. Echt een gezellige plek waar het personeel het duidelijk naar de zin heeft.
