This is a takeout-only fish and chips restaurant. The best part about it is that you can eat it right after frying it, so it was the most delicious fish and chips I had in the UK.When eating, be sure to ask for some vinegar. The fish flesh is very tender and the potatoes are thickly fried, giving it a good texture. If you want to eat it with beer, I recommend buying beer at the supermarket in advance. The atmosphere is very romantic if you eat it while sitting on the floor looking at the sea.

Best fish and chips I had in the UK. The plus is the location, which just can't be beat. And the service was great, as I didn't understand what coins were what and they were very helpful.

The female member of staff serving was very rude just because we hadn't seen the 'cash only' sign. Maybe because we were trying to read and decide from the menu. What kind of establishment only takes cash? She decided to point the sign out to us three times sarcasticly and made a huffing noise in front of other customers. So rude we took our business elsewhere..

By far the best fish and chips I’ve had!

SHOP NEEDS A SERIOUS DEEP CLEAN......Thought a nice scottish fish a chips would make the perfect end to a day.Didnt specify what end i was looking for, for the day.Menu says fish and chips.I asked cod and chips he snaps no we only sell haddock, ok thats fine with me.Salt and pepper i reply yes please, as he then snaps at the next customer asking what fish it is (maybe he couldnt spell haddock).Pulls out a dirty spray bottle and a squirts the vinegar on, ive travelled so nothing is a surprise.Got the parcels of food and we headed off, found a lovely spot to sit not far from town, started eating the fish and chips.Second bite into the fish it was off, stank and real chemical taste. We both smelt it definitely not right, smelt my mates meal thats not right either. You go back to say something massive line of people, you only get shouted at wait your turn. For a fish and chip shop on the harbour worst place in the world.

Unfortunately didn’t see the reviews before we got to this place - food itself was fine, if a little pricey (although I guess expected for its location), and had no complaints until we got food poisoning. When we mentioned this to some of the locals it turned out that this F&C shop is notorious for it. Go anywhere else.

Over priced gash. Chips were vile. You need to try hard to make a bad chip but they managed. Oily, clearly oil not hot enough when cooking then. Don’t go as they are ripping you

on holiday up in Scotland... last nite oh we will chippy tea. I'd read the reviews and thought omg what a load of Karen's.. Well no they are not they was being honest.. I have never ever been to a chippy like it...was like a ymca dinner counter.. the servers was kids with not a clue what to do no manager ..no direction.. no push to get food out.. 30 minutes to get food that's before a 10 minute wait at the door...not because of a queue.. because no one says *are you being served* so the fish and chips was being done..they had no idea who's it was .. I said is that my order. I dunno... what do you mean you don't know.. all I wanted was salt and vinegar so inside the warmer went my 2 lots of fish and chips.. what are we waiting for??? for the peas and gravy to warm up !!!!! what ?? are they not in a bain Marie ??? so we eventually we got our food... come back to the holiday cottage.. opened up the gravy - it was lumpy and cold had to microwave and sieve it.. peas was hard and cold.. fish was soggy the batter wasn't cooked.. chips were mediocre- can't actually go wrong scooping chips into a box if I would have been eating on the hoof I would have taken it straight back asked for a full refund.. my husband contacted bank for refund.. no one in this day and age should pay a fortune for crappy food and an even worse service... do your self a favour and go else where.. I'm no Karen or moaner...I just ask for good food for the fortune I paid.

Not quite the worst fish and chips we have had but close. Expensive. The most we have paid for takeaway. Stingy portion of chips and a very thin fillet of poor quality fish. Soggy batter. Won't be returning.

Just a bad chippy, overpriced and pretty poor food, scampi was mushy and chips were cold and looked like they were scraped from the bottom of the basket.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING! The boy behind the counters attitude was horrible. Snarky comments and laughing at our second name. Chips were disgusting, curry sauce disgusting and fish disgusting. Avoid at all costs

Calling the staff unfriendly is an understatement. They were rude if not hostile. Food was, at best, mediocre and I have never had a fish and chips so fraught with bones. Hard to believe somehow they got a visit by the royal family (as their photos demonstrated out front).
