Lovely place to stay. the staff and food were lovely. You get a great view back to Skye. The distillery tour and tasting was excellent, as is the whisky.

Stay was great, great location and great views when out on the island very nice fine dining. our room bed was a bit uncomfortable and had dogs barking next door but great facilities in the room and nice bathroom, Don't let that put you off overall experience 9/10

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Loved the guided tour and tasting. We were impressed with the beautifully presented and tasty food - not to mention the excellent whisky and gin.The staff could not have been more helpful and we can’t wait to return.

Literally everything was amazing. Not a single bad word to say. Room was lovely and comfortable, staff were super nice and helpful, food and drinks were spectacular and the views were gorgeous. I booked the Winter Getaway which was 500 for two nights, breakfast and dinner both days and included several drinks. They even left us a free half bottle of whiskey in the room! I will absolutely be back next year.

Excellent distillery tour experience. Shona (our guide) was welcoming & knowledgeable. Gin is delightful & whisky purchased will be appreciated in due course. What a great visitor experience for both home & foreign visitors - all the best for the 2024 season!

We spent 2 nights at the distillery as a group of 5 couples. The staff are wonderful, incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and the front rooms had spectacular views of Skye. The stay also included a complimentary Raasay whisky/gin on both days and a 1/3 of a bottle of Raasay whisky in each of the rooms. The Raasay whisky and gin are excellent with local Skye beers on tap in the well appointed bar.The breakfasts were fantastic and evening dinner even better. On the second night the kitchen did a 6 course tasting menu and had a wine pairing available if requested. The island itself has lots of interesting walks with scenic views all round. Will certainly be planning a return visit :-)

One of the most beautiful places I have stayed. This was the view from our hotel room on Friday morning - it really says it all.The food was excellent and all the staff a real credit to the hotel and distillery. The whisky and gin are great too.

The distillery is beautifully located and we were looking forward to the tour. Everything was very clean and really decorated with attention to detail. However, the tour itself was quite short and not very informative. Especially with such a great and new distillery, it would be nice to highlight the differences from other distilleries. We would all have liked to have bought another hoodie in the shop, unfortunately sizes are only available up to XL and our seasoned guys would have needed XXL or 3XL.

Stunning setting. The hotel is very tastefully decorated. Staff couldn’t do enough to make us comfortable and feel welcome. Really enjoyed the distillery tour with Jo too. Can’t fault it.Walkability: Lovely walks from the hotel and right by the ferry so you can leave your car on Skye.

Fantastic experience. Wonderful staff, Gabriel gave a great tour of the distillery and also some interesting information on the history of Raasay whilst we sat at the bar. All the staff really made us feel welcome. Food was delicious. The atmosphere throughout was lovely. Absolutely nothing to complain about whatsoever. Wish we stayed for longer to explore more of the island and walks etc. We will definitely be back soon.

I rarely give 5* because it suggests there is no room for improvement. However, there are two minor issues I would raise - but they are so minor I still have no hesitation in giving 5 stars to the visit to Raasay Distillery.Firstly, we visited in February - definitely low season. Virtually all houseplants in the hotel were desperate for water. Please a little of the care and attention you lavish on your guests might be extended to them too! (See - I said they were minor issues!)Secondly, the view from the restaurant is superb - definitely one of the best views in Scotland. It might be improved further by some discrete and imaginative planting to screen the car park. We had to angle our photos to not include a contractors works van - I know it sounds picky, but that is the level I'm getting to.In my reviews of a place I like to include a tip for prospective visitors who might be considering going. My tip this time . . . go!The trip to Raasay itself takes some beating. From the ferry crossing itself to the views from the island - the best views of Skye (better than from Skye itself!). We were blessed with "four seasons in a day" weather providing snow capped mountains with blue skies giving views from the restaurant that you see in magazines or TV travels, but rarely experience first hand.I wouldn't have even considered 5 stars if the food wasn't excellent, if the service wasn't great and if the rooms weren't cozy and comfortable and a pleasure to be in. Take all that as a given. But add to it the most interesting distillery tour I've ever been on (and I have had several) - thank you to Gabriel. Add also the spectacular views from the bedroom with strategically placed rocking chairs to enjoy it from.5 stars well earned!
