Very rude, not fit to host. We informed them that we were half an hour late for dinner due to an unexpected event and they told us that they no longer served it, charging us for it anyway. Although we had shown ourselves to be very kind and communicative, they didn't even greet us upon arrival and they almost left us outside. If you want to spend peaceful holidays, avoid them. They are the worst on the island.

ABSOLUTELY TO AVOID. Traumatic experience. The two owners were rude, rude and not at all welcoming. There is no common area; the only possibility is to lock yourself in the cold rooms on the upper floor waiting for the morning and run away. Rude responses characterized our stay, an attitude of total closure towards us guests. No greeting upon arrival; much less at check out. The "nice granny" preferred to leave an excellent memory of the experience by throwing curses at us while we were busy driving away in the car, now caught up in the sudden escape from what seemed to me to be the most restrictive Scottish prison. The non-existent empathy in this experience takes precedence over any issue regarding logistics or the quality and comfort of the environments. If you want to live an "Escape Room" experience on the beautiful Isle of Skye, I can only recommend this accommodation. If you believe you deserve relaxation and hospitality, move on to something else.

The worst experience of our life.Owners, husband and wife, very rude and not welcoming, they treated us very badly. There were 5 of us and we had booked for one night, warning that we would arrive later than the check-in time (with a long exchange of emails), but upon our arrival they attacked us claiming that it was not true and that if we had contested them they would have kicked us out! When we arrived they didn't even come to welcome us, we had to write an email to have the door opened!!We paid for dinner in advance but they didn't even deliver it to us to take away as we arrived after 8pm and they no longer serve it after that time.Really creepy husband and wife with no sense of hospitality.Very not recommended.

Awful! A real nightmare. Never had such a bad experience in my life (and I travel a lot). The host is the rudest person ever met, aggressive and impolite. The room was cold, the bed cricking, the house scary. She acted as if I didn’t pay to sleep there but as she was doing me a favour. I felt very uncomfortable and really wanted to leave as soon as I could. If I was not on a small island with no alternatives for accommodation I would have left the same evening as I arrived. Watch out

Hosts both very welcoming and accommodating. Food excellent, generous portions and all home made. Room had all our needs catered for and excellent view from room windows.. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure we both enjoyed our stay. Hosts were knowledgeable on best sites to visit to maximise our time there.. I was fascinated and entertained by the bird feeder cage!! Thanks again, we will be back....

Small, typical accommodation perfect for visiting the north of the Isle of Skye. The rooms are comfortable and spacious enough for 3 people, there are plenty of electrical outlets (handy for charging everyone's devices) and a clean bathroom (little pressure in the shower though). We ate in the small dining room of the house, slept upstairs, it felt a bit like home. The food was very good, whether it was the evening meal that we had booked in advance or the generous breakfast. The little extra, the possibility of having a packed lunch for the next day at noon which allowed us to save a lot of time and go straight for a hike. The environment is calm, surrounded by sheep, with a lovely open view, nothing could be more pleasant! Our hosts were very kind, welcoming and gave us good advice to best optimize our 2 days on Skye.

It has been some time since my father and i were welcomed by Kathleen and Alec. Even years later, we still talk about out tour through Scotand and this one bed and breakfast we were lucky enough to find. We recently decided they were still owed a proper laudation. Kathleen and Alec were generous and respectful, shared their time, effort and charme with us to add to our cold and beautiful holiday whenever they could. The food was excellent and homemade, drinks were shared when it was appropriate and professionalism and privacy still held up with a fully booked week. The beds were warm and clean and the sheets as cozy as the weather warranted them. We missed them and the experience of being their guests quickly and a lot since then. Sincerely, a thankful father and son

Nice rural b&b.They don’t have common area for guests. That’s not clear in the listing.Cozy bedroom.Great homemade breakfast and nice dinner but a little expensive.

Alec and Kathleen extended a warm welcome to two dripping wet and windswept motorcyclists. Warm and comfortable room and the food was top notch. All the breakfast condiments were home made and delicious

What a wonderful find! We wanted to find accommodation close to the ferry port and after 3 days of travelling we enjoyed a lovely relaxing night at the Old Post Office. We were made to feel very welcome by Alec and Kathleen. The B&B is very homely and the beds were very comfortable. We decided to have our evening meal at the B&B and we are so pleased we did. We could not have eaten better out. I had local salmon with vegetables freshly picked from the garden along with one of the best homemade cheesecakes I have eaten. We were equally impressed with the breakfast with homemade granola and natural yogurt. We fully recommend staying at the Old Post Office and we will stay there again when visiting the Isle of Skye. What a beautiful B&B! The location is amazing, very calm and you can breathe nature! Our room was very cosy with wooden furniture. Alec and Kathleen are the best hosts ever! We decided to have our evening meal here and we were very pleased. It was delicious!! As well as their breakfast! Homemade and with (very) local produce. They also offer a packed meal which is very useful when you spend the whole day outside exploring Skye. We totally recommend the Old Post Office. When you visit Skye, don't forget to support the locals and protect each other!! Thank you, Kathleen and Alec for your very warm welcome!
