Great spot. Very good and nicely decorated inside, maybe not authentic but probably the only place in Skye to offer this cuisine. Would say that the salt and pepper chips are among the best I have ever had.

Charges additional 10% service fee without mentioning anywhere. Charges £20+ for a ramen??? That's 3 times more expensive than a ramen restaurant in Edinburgh. That's when I realized that the indoor menu is different than the one outside. I ordered a Chicken Teriyaki with rice, got charged £18.50, but clearly the sauce was typical superstore sauce and the chicken common supermarket breaded chicken where the meat and coating separates right away. Scrapes my mouth and can't even finish. Completely Chinese and using "Japanese" as a cloak. A complete SCAM for unassuming tourists. Every group of customers went silent upon seeing the real menu. Avoid at all cost.

Was really craving some Chinese food after being stuck eating at unseasoned Scottish cafes for the last few days and I’m so glad this hit the spot. It’s a bit pricey but at least they use garlic and can make a spicy dish

Went there because it was the only restaurant with tables for 4 available.Poor quality food, had a chicken Teriyaki and don’t think the chicken had ever walked.Service was awful, cannot pay by card. They charge a 10% service fee on top of the already too expensive bill (25£/p without drink). They eventually removed the fee because it was not written on the menu. An overall bad experience.

Had the most delicious chicken ramen here. Came by a surprise in the small town of portree. Authentic Japanese food and a great anime theme inside the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Food is very expensive and not nice. The service is bad. Only cash is accepted. The staff who are all from China is very fussy about giving napkin. No high chair for kids are available.

Dry rice, weirdly gelatinous curry, sour-faced staff who kept giving us side-eyes when we argued about the food. The salmon and chicken tasted ready-made and frozen. Definitely not worth the price. The decorations are nice though.

Food was okay. Pre made dumplings were as expected. Service however was horrible, we overheard the waitress calling another patron “weak” for wanting to switch tables. As well as trying to make up a minimum charge of £15 after we decided to leave before getting main courses. No signs for that anywhere. It can be very hard to find a place to eat in Portree but you are better off eating pot noodles than eating here.

This is probably the ONLY "Japanese" restaurant in this town. Upon entering the restaurant, which is at the upper deck, you'll be informed by signs stating that only Cash and Wepay are accepted! The lady Chinese staff was attentive, but the food was NOT genuine Japanese. I ordered the Beef Ramen. The soup tasted like using the soup stock. The white and yellow noodles is from asian style, not Japanese thin noodles. The sliced beef looks more similar to Chinese wok style cooking, not Japanese. The bean sprouts definitely not Japanese. This dish cost £18+. My partner ordered Grilled Unagi Don Buri. Same for this, it's not Japanese. The rice they used is of south east asian origin, not even similar to Japanese rice. Cost is £19+. Something better is the Ebi Tempura, which is better but not fantastic. The best part is, when checking out, we are shocked to know that they imposed a 10% service charge. We've been to many restaurants along the way, most didn't charge for service. Our final bill came to £57 for 3 items. If u are looking for Japanese restaurant, even if u had minimum expectations, do not come here. This restaurant are operated by PRC Chinese, not Japanese. It can get around with people who can't differentiate between Chinese and Japanese ingredients. There are way better restaurants nearby, offering good western cuisine, at comparable prices to this one.

Cash only (!) Way too expensive, music was repetitive, food was very bland. Don't go.The reviews praising the restaurant giving 5 stars are most likely bots.

The ramen at Tomita cuisine Japanese is top-notch. The broth is rich and flavorful and the noodles are always cooked to perfection.
