I had the extremely good luck of booking a special birthday dinner for my wife, now 75! and family. From the day I booked, Clair and her staff have been extremely helpful and last night, the dinner was absolutely fantastic. Great service from respectful and friendly staff. It's very easy to overeat here. Portions are not small. I recommend starting with a main and seeing if you have room for a starter once you've finished it. I had the lasagne and two pints, and simply could not have had anything else. I stopped at the half-way point on my cycle along the coast, and barely made 5mph on my way back.
