I was just passing through at lunchtime when the hunger hit...I stopped at Sanquhar hoping to find somewhere for lunch and was not disappointed in the offerings at Harveys Cafe. Their chips are awesome...fresh, non-greasy, and with a good amount of potato filling. Lovely fish and chips, sandwiches and paninis on offer- with a generous pot of tea too! We stopped in for a late lunch after a good walk around the area so ut was quiet. The owner was friendly and helpful when we chatted about the area. We would love to come back in summer!

Tucked up a wee side street this is a hidden gem. The lady who served us was lovely and couldn't do enough to help. Hubby and I had the large fish and chips, and our daughter had the salt and chilli chicken with chips. Both dishes were delicious ??. We'll be back to try something different on the menu next time ☺️
