2 night stay here was lovely . Views of the 3 bridges really good . Breakfast sets you up for the day . Evening meals and service great. The hotel has no car park but spaces available on the road there are car parks further along . Nice relaxing place to

Amazing little inn with spectacular views. Perfect for that last overnight before flying back home. Great rooms, friendly staff and only 20mins to Eidenburgh Airport.

I'll be honest I've been here twice now and both times I've been disappointed. It could be really nice, the restaurant itself is pretty and the view is great but that's about it. Shared the tacos which were a bit dry but ok, the seafood chowder was like a massive bowl of thick white sauce with little seafood to be seen, nothing like you would expect a chowder to be. The mussels were given to us cold and even the chips weren't seasoned. It's a real shame but I honestly don't know what on the menu is actually good. We were given the wrong drinks a couple of times and I don't blame them since both times I've been it's so noisy in there it's hard for the staff to hear anything. I would say maybe it was hard for them to handle a big group but the restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday night. This all feels really harsh but I feel like I've given the place a fair shot and considering it's quite pricey the food should really be a lot better sorry. I will say however that the deserts were good and the wait staff were nice.

Such kind staff and a lovely room! We only ate at the restaurant for breakfast on our way out, but it was also wonderful! Located on a quaint and quiet street in Queens Ferry, it's reasonably close to Edinburgh (though we were driving a rental car which made it easier to get to), and there was free street parking!

Refused entry today for morning coffee due to my 65 year old husband wearing a football shirt (no sponsor slogans on it) not even to sit outside at pavement tables. Told there is a blanket ban on football tops, wonder if it would be the same had it been a rugby top?Oh, and the same place hosted a screening of the women’s World Cup final recently. Astonished!!

Food and service were both good. Stayed here on a previous occasion and the rooms are excellent. Maybe I'm being picky, but whilst the menu had plenty of choice, the menu looked like many others, which is a shame.

The hotel looked great on the website, but the room I had was definitely way above my expectations. Bay window overlooking the Forth Bridges, huge bedroom and bathroom with all the trimmings. In the centre of the town with a fabulous restaurant and terrace. Will definitely be back

My husband and I had the best wedding day we could have asked for at the Orocco Pier Hotel! We are based in Manchester, several hours from South Queensferry and we were really daunted by planning a wedding so far away from home. We really didn't need to be; the professionalism of the staff and the personalised service we received were better than we ever hoped for. From our inital venue viewing to our big day, nothing was too much for the wedding team at the Orocco Pier! Every question we had, they answered! Our flower girl has cerebral palsy and is wheelchair dependant. The staff were so helpful and attentive to her accessiblity needs. During our wedding breakfast, we had a medical situation and once again, the staff acted with speed, professionalism and compassion. The venue itself is gorgeous and the Fushia room's view of the Forth Bridge is second to none! South Queensferry itself is a beautiful, serene area. We wanted a very non-traditional themed wedding and the staff at the Orocco were not only accomodating, but excited for a challenge! The star of the show for us was Sharne, who was with us practically from start to finish with our wedding planning. You can tell she takes pride in her work! She is a warm, kind and professional lady. Nothing was too much for her. She took an anxious bride and groom and provided a day that was perfect from start to finish! She even shed a tear when our 8 and 10 year old autistic sons gave their speeches.Thank you Sharne and all the wedding team for our perfect wedding at the Orocco Pier Hotel!

Was my second time staying at the Orocco and again not disappointed. The two standouts for me are the staff - who are so polite, helpful, friendly and happy - and the breakfast, which was top notch. Rooms are also very nicely done, the shower really powerful which is great in the morning to get you up and out for the day. Only downside is the signal strength around the hotel. Whilst you can use the WiFi for your phone etc, the TV does suffer so if that’s what you want of an evening, make sure you bring an iPad or something to watch things on. But I doubt that’s the main draw for people to the lovely area of South Queensferry so a minor inconvenience at best (although would be good to sort it out!).

Charming hotel, nice room, clean, very friendly people, new bathroom, nice/good bed, no aircon but window inward and made it cool enough, shampo/conditioner/gel, television, quiet although you hear people pass inn hallway. Would definately stayed here again.

We had our wedding here and words really can't express how impressed we were with the staff here. Nothing was too much trouble for them, the food was incredible - my new wife's family are still raving about the wedding meal (try the crumble and you'll see why). Given it's one of the biggest days of our lives, we were worried about things going wrong...Sharne was an absolute godsend, calming us down when needed and keeping everything on track. As for the venue itself...we were in Fuchsia, which was the perfect size for our group of about 40. The view of the bridges as a backdrop while we exchanged our vows was the icing on the cake. Having the balcony and the room for the party was fantastic, the adults could supervise their kids on the beach while relaxing. We stayed in the wedding suite which I presume was amazing but I can't actually remember much of it, I was out like a light after a very long day. I didn't feel like a fry-up the next day so I just went for a scone for breakfast...and even that was far beyond the average. I genuinely can't fault the place at all. If you're having a wedding - book this place now!

The Food and service were excellent, I had the butternut squash soup and my partner had the chicken thighs, we both had the fillet steak which were cooked perfectly, there was a good vibe there as well. The view of the Forth rail bridge was amazing.

Fantastic stay at orocco pier.Clean and tidy rooms. Wonderful meal. Great cocktails and bar staff were accommodating to make us one to our choice. Everyone is so friendly. Views stunning. Not far from Edinburgh (17mins) taking a train to Dalmeny and a short walk down.Rooms: Clean, tidy, came with everything we needed.Walkability: Very good. Cobblestone streets outside.Food & drinks: Fantastic.

First of all, our waitress Melissa was a gem, friendly and attentive. Food was very good, but a ribeye steak should never be served with frozen chips, especially when the menu describes the chips as hand cut; the multitude of small crusty offcuts outnumbered the chips. Priced at £110 for two time two courses with wine is very reasonable.
