Interior decoration is inviting and relaxing with tables well separated giving an open feeling to the venue. The menu offered an interesting choice of meat and fish dishes many with a slightly different but interesting twist such as Gateau of Haggis as a starter. Service was friendly and efficient and not rushed by what appeared to be a well trained staff. On our next visit to Edinburgh we will visit this restaurant again

Dropped in hoping they could fit us in. It was very busy but Scott's managed to accommodate us. The new menu was great and food delicious. Many thanks to the lovely gentleman who served us, really cheerful and friendly.

Went for date night as the kids were with grand parents. Came here as this used to be my wife's favourite, but we won't be back soon. The restaurant is beautiful as ever, but the décor is really carry a lot of the draw. As I cannot think of anything else positive about the place now. Our starter (some breads and hummus) came out missing part of the order, which was difficult to flag down and have corrected, and was without an apology. Our mains were clearly not fresh. We had fish tacos and pork belly boa buns, the sauces were clearly just bog standard condiments ketchup mayo squirted all over. The bill took ages to come. We drank water because they do the thing where soft drinks are some how more expensive than beer per cl. They also really need to remove the hidden service charge, I am happy to tip with the food and service was good. But >£50 for a meal I could have done myself for a 10th just wasn't worth it. We also used to use the buzzwork gift cards a lot as presents, but will stop that also, it just feels like a money grab.

My wife and I decided we would push the boat out this Hogmany and go for a nice meal. We have been to Scott’s a few times and have always enjoyed it so thought we’d try New Years Eve as a special occasion. The venue, as always, was beautifully decorated. It’s always a warming welcome when you walk in. We were seated for our 8pm sitting in perfect time. The meal itself was lovely. We had a choice from a smaller number of dishes than usual, which of course was fine as it was New Year’s Eve. Our aperitifs were lovely and there were plenty of them. Our first course arrived in good time and was also delicious. There was then a slight mix up with our mains, meaning we were waiting longer than expected. However, it was great that one of the staff came over and explained the mix up, apologising for our delay. These things happen when venues are catering for a large amount of people , all wanting their dinners. It certainly never spoilt a thing for us! The main itself was just as delicious as the previous courses, though maybe not as ‘special’ as they would be on a regular visit. Again though, a result of the event rather than anything untoward A special thanks to Chelsea who really went the extra mile looking after us all evening. She was lovely and made sure we felt special! Thanks Chelsea ! We look forward to going back again soon.

Family Christmas Eve meal. Nice food and surroundings might have been coincidental we were in a corner with space as we had a two year old so she was able to move around without disturbing others. Food was good we preferred the main menu to the festive menu. Waiting staff were attentive everyone enjoyed their meals. Portions were good sized, deserts a bit smaller but that was welcomed. The kids meal portions are substantial so if you have a young child perhaps don’t order a kids starter, the adults ended up hating most of it

3 of us had lunch - a mix of the Xmas menu & all day menu. The food was delicious but the standout of our meal was the service from Gregor. What a delightful man, a great asset to the restaurant. He was chatty & helpful throughout our meal & took a real interest in us which is so unusual these days, especially during busy xmas times. We had prawn cocktails (huge) & chicken liver parfait to start, followed by the salmon & mussels, the most amazing lamb rump & the prawn tempura. Every bite was absolutely superb. Will be back in the near year to enjoy the food once more. Thank you for a great lunch experience Gregor (& chef!).

Friendly staff throughout. Very good location for river views, shame the weather was so bad! . The staff are very welcoming and there’s a lot of them which makes the service quick. The food could be better and it was the disappointing thing about an otherwise good place. I had the Pork Belly Bao Buns, 2 very small tough pieces of pork amongst salad with very little sauce. Extremely underwhelming . The puddings were good, the Cheesecake very much so. I’d give it 3.5/5. It was inbetween average and very good.

After reading some of the recent reviews we were a bit worried about this restaurant. However the food was lovely and service was great. When we arrived we sat at the bar and ordered drinks before then being shown to our table. The waiter Gregor was very helpful and asked if we were there for a special occasion which we were. Our order was taken not long after and we didn't have a long wait for our food. Starters were goats cheese with candied beetroot, duck breast and gambis pil pil. Mains were fish and chips, lobster and prawn mac and cheese, pork bao buns and steak et frites. The streak was cooked perfectly to my liking. All the food was amazing. None of us could manage a sweet but to our surprise the waiter returned with a slice of the baileys and caramel cheesecake with congratulations written on the plate in chocolate. Complimentary. Such a lovely gesture. These are the things that make restaurants stand out from others. We will certainly return. Hopefully in the summer when we can sit outside to admire the view.

What a surprise !!!!! We booked for lunch on Saturday, just expected a standard lunch, but what a surprise, from the welcoming staff on arrival, polite friendly FOH staff to the goodbye when leaving. The menu was great with many tasty options. It was great to hear the buzzing kitchen with someone on the pass managing the team. We chose to go with the Xmas lunch, turkey x two and a salmon, the turkey was fantastic, very well cooked and tasty accompaniments, tasty well cooked vegetables and good gravy, presented nicely, I never ate the salmon but looked well cooked with a crispy skin, would have been nice to have a finger bowl for mussels but that’s just being picky. The dessert was also really tasty and well presented (don’t need the chocolate sauce, spoiled the taste and presentation! Best lunch we have had for a long time We will be back Thanks team

Beautiful views looking on to the bridges that was the positive but we were there for lunch and my daughter had an extended lunch hour of an hour and half but unfortunately we waited one hour 15 mins to be served. Food was delicious when it did arrive but we felt so rushed that we didn’t enjoy the experience. Waitress said it had been like that for two weeks since they introduced a new menu but what difference does a new menu make. We saw several people walk out before being served. Restaurant was very busy and maybe they’re just overbooking.

So rude the girl as we entered told to us to site at the bar then ignored us for a good 20 mins so we left the girl didn’t even look at us wouldn’t bother going back does she think people owe her something she needs some training in manors and hospitality.

We visited tonight for our first wedding anniversary. Atmosphere was lovely, it’s beautifully decorated with a great choice of food. We had a gorgeous meal and some nice drinks. We can’t wait to come back!
