Food was excellent. Highly recommended. Staff very friendly. Spotlessly clean. Service was very great. Great value for money.

Great Sunday

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Food good although portions are quite small and a bit expensive (Edinburgh prices I guess) . But would still recommend a visit.

Been here a few times now and it's always the same experience:1. Location and atmosphere decent2. Food, quite good3. Service: chronicThe service let's the place down hugely, it ruins the experience. Apart from the barman, you'd be surprised if any of the staff were trained at all. There appears to be no one in charge, and the staff are all looking around at each other going 'errrr what should we be doing'. Such a shame.

The service at the reception was extremely poor, with no evident intention to assist.

Very bland food at extortionate prices. Had to ask if I could order rather than be asked. Had a chicken curry, rice and bread with kale on the side? served in a bowl with no room to manoeuvre the food. I'd suggest you hire a new chef as there are many reviews saying the same as I am.

I had the venison, it was served in a small skillet,it was cold ,prepared god knows wen and the meat was dry, the bread and butter pudding was disappointing, overall we had a bad experience, and it was overpriced.I would not recommend, and we will not go back!

Nice looking bar with great views. Service too slow and seems a bit unorganized. Biggest let down is the food though. Massively overpriced for what you get. 7 quid bread starter are clearly leftovers from breakfast, including brioche, which has no place in a dinner dish. Can't recommend the fish pie. Half the fish was missing, it smelled quite fishy which indicates no fresh ingredients and it was tiny. It's a 20 quid dish of the size of a starter. Won't be back, quite disappointed
