We visited on a cold Saturday afternoon...The bar where we ate had the log fire roaring away which added to its ambiance...I had the Steak and Ale pie with mash , the veg was nice and soft just the way I like it. Friendly staff too.

Great staff we were really made to feel welcome, I'd go here just for those lovely folk. Add to that delicious food and this is a must if a place to visit, I had salmon with beetroot risotto, utterly divine! In good weather there's plenty of seating down by the river which is so peaceful you may not want to leave.I have itching to do with this business and I can highly recommend this place to visit. Do see my comments about parking first though.Parking: A small carpark is available for customers if the Guardbridge Inn, the trouble is that it is small and fills up very quickly. On street parking is limited but (to be fair) is largely taken by the nearby residents. I'm afraid it's luck of the draw if you get a space. Fortunately I did as did our dining companions so maybe I'm fixating about something that's not a big problem.

After a long drive from Inverness, we came across the Guardbridge Inn on a Monday night, when it was dark and rainy. The inn was pretty much empty, but we were welcomed by a warm log fire, and the person who I think was the landlady, who could not do enough to make us feel comfortable. Food was good and much needed. Will call again if ever in the area.

I recently visited this little pub twice for dinner and both visits were lovely. The portions are large and the food is delicious. The vegetarian burger is very good, as are the fish and chips. There are two seating areas - a more casual one at the front by the bar and a nice cozy but more modern restaurant area at the back. The service on both visits was excellent - the waitress who served us was probably the smiliest, sweetest waitress I’ve ever come across! We were lucky to get a table on a Friday night though, as it’s obviously popular and the dining areas are quite small. Will definitely be back!

We were very glad they had some space in their annex hall, it was full when we turned up without booking at 2pm on a Sunday. The food was excellent, and the staff was very welcoming and kind.
