The waitresses were very nice, however their kindness did not make up for the lack of quality of this institution. First and foremost, I unfortunately was victim of a food poisoning to the point that I haven’t been able to move all day. Secondly, the burrata was not a burrata but a slightly softened mozzarella. Thirdly, the "sourdough" bread was not sourdough and was hard like a rock. And lastly, there is a problem of organization in this restaurant as the fridge was apparently not regulated well, the toilets were closed and a third of the menu was not available (because of a big table).I will not come back to this place and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Arrived and were sat at 6.15pm, however we asked to move seats and they allowed us to which was very hospitable of them. But, after this it all went downhill. We ordered our drinks, starter and mains all at once, and drinks came promptly followed by the starter: Bruschetta. We expected a decent portion of bread with a good tomato-to-bread ratio, but instead we received two extremely thin rock hard strips of bread which were absolutely lathered with tomatoes and olive oil. Way too many tomatoes, flavour balance was absolutely horrid. Then, we waited over an hour for our mains, in which I had to tell the waitress we would be leaving in the next 10 minutes had we not got our food, and it came roughly 10 minutes later. At this point we were very relieved, and tucked in to our pizza and tagliatelle. The pizza was below par and tasted identical to a frozen Dr. Oetker mozzarella pizza, and the tagliatelle was OK but really nothing special. The pizza was also not cut and we received two steak knives to cut it which seemed odd. We felt ripped off at the prices for what we received and feel it is not worth going back ever. If you are visiting St. Andrews, find another restaurant, Rogue is a tad expensive but very high quality.

This is one of the only restaurants in St Andrews I get legitimately excited eat at other than Little Italy, TailEnd and Saints Sizzle. The food is exceptional and they deserve a lot more patronage in my opinion. Great place to come on the weekends because the reservations are pretty open. My favorite things to order are the salmon crudo, white bean and kale soup, lamb ragu, and tiramisu. Highly recommend giving it a try if you haven’t already.

absolutely SHOCKING. went to this “nice” restaurant for my birthday with my mum and was served some of the worst food i have ever eaten. the mussels with ‘tomato sauce’ was mussels in soup. the pasta was BLAND and honestly just disgusting!!! AND i ordered the Panna cotta with strawberry compote but was served a gritty jelly topped with STRAWBERRY JAM !!! it was literally a mouth of sugar. ended up not paying for the dessert but still payed £80 for some disappointing and disgusting food that i could make better at home. honestly feel bad for the staff that are serving having to deal with the repercussions of the untrained chef. if i could give this zero stars I WOULD

The lamb ragu is unbelievable at this Italian restaurant. The interior decor is lovely, however the table we were sat at seemed to be crammed in as was bunched between two large parties. The atmosphere and lighting is very ambient. The highlight for sure is the beautiful food that they prepare. Nicest dish I've had at an Italians for a long time. Service was good as we were moved when requested from the crammed table. Never a fan of a discretionary service charge added to bill in case service is poor ser, but tip was well earned in this case. Only niggle being that draught beers were not available.

The food was not exceptional. The selections were limited. Chicken Milanese was not on the menu. Chicken cacciatore was very tasteless. The onion tomato soup was very tomatoee. The salad also was very bland. The pizza was not my kind of pizza but was better than anything else.

Booked a table on Friday 10th November at the Rav. Got a call a week before to say could we go to Lupos instead of the Rav because it had closed. Offered a round of drinks by way of compensation, happily agreed. Got a voicemail last night (Wednesday) to say our ( birthday celebration) table had been cancelled tomorrow as the restaurant was holding a private function. Now trying to find somewhere nice to go with no notice. We are not local so it is very difficult. Really disappointed.

The food is quite good and the atmosphere is wonderful. You won't be disappointed with this very good italian restaurant but you won't be in awe either. 4.5

Our third or fourth visit to this wonderful restaurant. Food once again spot on - great flavours and an interesting menu to choose from. Very relaxed evening too, and so much great art on the walls. What really makes the experience though is the staff. Friendly, professional, funny and genuinely appear glad that you are there with them. If you are in St Andrews and like Italian food this is the place to go to.

Lubna was fantastic! Incredible customer service. Very friendly and chatty but still professional. Her cocktail making abilities are exceptional. Would definitely come back again.

The food was delicious and so fresh. Every bite was a treat! Our server, Janvi, was there right when we needed her too. Overall a really nice evening!

I was called the night before our booking to say that Rav was closing due to a technical reason but they could get us into their sister restaurant - Lupo's.It was a strange night as when we arrived for our booking we were told that it was their first night after a summer break. Then they told us that they were a new restaurant - "first night problems". But clearly the restaurant had already been there for some time - the menus/ wine list even had wine stains on it.Unfortunately they couldn't offer us a cold beer as their fridge was broken. And the staff seemed a bit clueless on the menu and specials. The food was "OK" - quite well cooked pasta and pizza but nothing special. And the staff kept asking us for feedback which was also bizarre. So something didn't quite stack up. All a bit strange.

Had booked the Rav for dinner but got a call saying they'd staffing problems, couldn't open, but could give us a table at Lupo, their sister restaurant. Fine. Arrived at Lupo, warm welcome, nice table in a pretty setting, with loads of space between the tables (unusual for St A!). A fair delay till menus arrived, a further delay until someone came to take orders, so we asked if we could order drinks first. Fine, but.... No cold beer. None. Neither on tap nor bottles. It turned out they'd just opened for the first time for three months (?!) and it was a bit chaotic. We feared the worst. However, the service was charming, alternative drinks (not beer!) arrived and were good - nice cocktail, which used ice, but no-one could find a tub to put some beer bottles in?? - and the mains of pizza x 2 and one lamb ragu papardelle were absolutely delicious. Both pizzas were huge and neither could be finished! Price was fine too. Generally, reasonable value for money and good staff. All in all, it turned out to be a pleasant evening with good food and nice service. We'd go back.

The décor is inviting and the staff pleasant, however it needs a good clean. The menu is very limited for an Italian restaurant, only about 5 choices on main, but they do have a few pizzas. The olives were great. Mains were poor really so we did not have a desert. Went elsewhere! We will not revisit next time in St Andrews as it was very disappointing.
