Everything was perfect, ended over there by change, after we visited Stonehaven and Dunnottar for our first time. Next time we visit the castle we know where to eat a great pasta and drink a good wine. Thank you Gino, keep it up !

This establishment deserves to be busier than it was when I visited. Only me plus one table of 2 in at 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon. I thoroughly enjoyed my cheese and tomato toastie, served with side salad and coleslaw, and a pot of tea, all for the grand sum of £5.45. Absolutely superb value for money. In Stonehaven on holiday, I stumbled across this wee gem by accident. Perhaps some signage at Market Square directing potential customers to Gino’s might encourage custom. Will definitely return when I’m next in the area.

I rang at 17.05 on Wednesday to book a table for my wife and I for dinner ……… to be answered by Gino ? I take it , “ we’re closed “ ……….. was the reply , and he hung up . I then checked the website and realised they closed at 5.00 pm on a Wednesday , however , as a holidaymaker visiting Stonehaven this was extremely unwelcoming . We ate elsewhere for 4 nights , where we were made to feel welcome .

We visited Gino's tonight, as we love trying local businesses. Overall, we found the experience to be quite cosy and comfortable, we had a good time. Gino's menu has a wide variety of options making the menu suitable for many. Furthermore, the front of house staff were kind and did their jobs, however at no point were we asked about the quality of our food and if we were enjoying it, until we were leaving the restaurant. On this note however, we did not have any complaints with our food and found it too be very enjoyable and fresh + the prices were excellent value for money.Unfortunately, we felt disappointed that the chef greeted all of the tables apart from ours. This made us feel uncomfortable and in a sense 'unwelcomed'. Potentially two young men aren't common in his restaurant, I am not sure?My partner and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a local place to eat in Stonehaven. Prices are good value for money, staff accommodate guests and it gives the feel of a authentic Italian restaurant.Vegetarian options: There are a wide array of dishes that do not contain meat products.Parking: There is on street parking available.

We came at 7:30 pm and asked kindly for a table, there have been 3 free tables. He told us to come back at 8:15 pm, not very kindly and in a hurry. We came back in time, the same tables were free but the waitress told us that they don’t take anyone for today anymore. She has been kind but he didn’t wanted to explain. We felt not welcome and we had to leave and get somewhere else. Difficult at the late hour.

Went over for lunch and the staff was courteous to accommodate a chicken based menu. The chicken was prepared fresh and nice. Enjoyed a hot bowl of lentil soup, a nice hot meal and would recommend the place for anyone visiting Dunnotar castle. The parking is around the roadside for a stipulated 45minutes. Washroom was clean and alright. The dishes - chicken cooked in tomato sauce and chicken +mushroom white sauce.

Very quiet over the new year . It was open and that was unusual in rest of town . Nice snack quickly prepared.

Very cozy Italian restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Tagliatelle al salmone was delicious.

Really nice food and, after sending pics of the menu to my very italy-savvy partner, very authentic too! Actual garlic bread rather than a baguette with garlic butter on it, etc.Would definitely recommend.
