Cafes in Tain

“I spent a drizzly August afternoon in Pipers whilst I was in Tain for the day. It’s a really lovely cafe/coffee house that has an amazing range of teas, coffees and local bakes that you will definitely want to try as well as some hot snack options such as their breakfast rolls and soup.As Pipers is a small family run company the cafe has a lovely family feel to it which most places lack these days. So overall if you’re looking for a relaxing place to sit and enjoy a cuppa this is the place to go. Everyone that works here is very welcoming and polite and I will definitely be returning next time I find myself in Tain! Well Done Pipers!”

“While driving the NC500, we were looking for a nice bakery for a quick lunch, and this Harry Gow ended up being a great choice. We got a few pies, their soup of the day (which I believe was bacon and lentil), and some paninis. We ended up going back for some more soup because it was so good. There is a nice little park just south east of the bakery to sit and eat as well.”

“Standard supermarket lots of parking and a petrol station thats automatic. The supermarket has people like me sat outside with the dog waiting for there wife and kids to do the shopping but selection looks good and its convenient for us stopping in a holiday cottage.”

“This was such a great place to stay! The food was delightful and had a great variety. The service was impeccable and everyone was so friendly! Our room was cozy and I love the color scheme. My only complaint is that it is time for new mattresses. The bar was charming and the grounds were well kept. They even have a castle cat named Lucky.”
