Fearn by Tain, TainWould give this 6 stars if possible. What a phenomenal stay we had! The staff was excellent and catered to our every need. The house itself has the most unique and interesting design I've ever stayed in. Different rooms throughout the house modeled after a different part of the whisky making process.The whisky bar in the Gold Room was exceptional. Knowledgeable staff could sit and talk about whisky for ages! Learn about it, taste different drams, etc.The food was also very high-end. 5 star. Though we only had the breakfast. Best croissants in Scotland made at this little house!

6 Viewfield Rd, TainGreat option in Tain. Heather and her staff are welcoming, friendly and accommodating. Plenty of info provided in advance and good dinner options and a hearty filling breakfast available. Highly recommended.

Pipers Coffee House
25 Lamington St, TainLovely, friendly staff. They are dog friendly! And even gave my dog some gravy bone treats in her own little dish. A really good breakfast roll but the star of the show had to be the desserts, all of my family were left wanting more for in the future.

Greens Restaurant Tain
11-15 High St, TainFabulous restaurant ? definitely worth a visit, even if it is out of your way. Tain is a beautiful town with so much character and this restaurant is a gem in the centre of town. The decor is always pristine, the service is polished and yet casual, which makes it warm and friendly. The food is perfect and all at a reasonable price. We were a party of three for a birthday lunch and we he'd every intention of having three courses as they sounded so good on the menu. I could have any option and we even had a double menu due to the Christmas menu and the Winter Menu both being available. There was literally nothing I wouldn't have been happy with. I chose the soup starter which ca.e with warm crusty bread and this was ideal for the chilly journey we'd had. And then a turkey xmas dinner for main course ?
The ladies chose gnocchi and then salads which were superb. Great drinks and coffees also and we couldn't manage dessert as we were too full up....... ?

1-3 High St, TainVisited on Tuesday morning and bought various pies and a had to have a couple of cream cakes, and all I can say is "ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS" can't wait for my nxt visit in a few weeks mmmmm

Platform 1864
Station Rd, TainWe were at the Glenmorangie Distellery and after our tasting they gave us Platform 1864 as a tip.
And it did not disappoint ?
Great food lovely service and a real fireplace to boot.
Highly recommend.
Oh if you come by car just enter de cul sac?

8 High St, TainOrdered a birthday cake and a box of filled rolls for my daughters birthday, both were perfect, cake was amazing in look/price and taste, rolls were exactly what I requested absolutely beautiful, very fresh, can’t recommend this shop more, staff are friendly and helpful and do all they can to help you in every way

Balintore Inn
East St, Balintore, TainLoved our stay in Balintore Inn, well worth a visit . Our accommodation had fabulous views over the garden area belonging to the Inn as well as a sea view.
Balintore is one of the North East Seaboard Fishing villages of old. The Inn is central and popular with locals and tourists for the good food, highly recommended ?.
We will be back.

Mansfield Castle
Scotsburn Rd, TainThoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the rooms had lovely antique furniture and were cosy and warm. Lots of gorgeous sitting areas that were perfect for cosying up with a good book and a glass of wine. The breakfast included continental and a full hot breakfast for £14. The staff were all so polite and welcoming. Would recommend if stopping by Tain.
