Very accommodating staff, we were travelling through on a barge and we’re unsure of our arrival time but this wasn’t a problem, they were happy to save a table for us. “This place is heaving on evenings and it's nice to go on the afternoon as well when it's quieter. The food is cheap but is always hot. You get what you pay for but the meals aren't bad given how cheap it is. Drinks are cheap as well. Good choice of meals including vegetarian.A lovely building full of character. Nice to see a pub that is still thriving.”
