Main Rd, Norton in Hales, Market DraytonWe took some long-time friends here for our annual Xmas meal and the entire experience was faultless. The food was amazing, plentiful and served with a smile and a well-masked tolerance for our shocking humour. The staff were all fantastic, whether behind the bar or taking our orders and bringing drinks. Every member of our party commented and how good the night had been and were adamant we should return soon.
Simply lovely food and service, the best for many, many miles around.

Betton Mill, 1 Betton Rd, Market DraytonWhat a gem of a place this is! Relaxed atmosphere with attentive owners and staff. Came here impromptu with my husband to celebrate my birthday whilst travelling on our narrowboat. Was able to book my table on line with timely confirmation of booking. We were given a warm welcome and taken to our table. There was a place to put our wet coats and umbrella so we could relax in comfort.The wine flights invite you to have a bit of fun as we try to work out which wines we’d been given…they were all interesting with good depth of flavours. The food follows a Mediterranean theme based mostly around cheese but other dishes are available, fresh flavours, deep toppings with an emphasis on the natural and the unprocessed, keeping carbs to a minimum, and this includes the choice of snacks. In no time at all we felt like we were returning locals rather than random strangers. We will definitely find a way to return to this fabulous wine cellar! Thank you so much for a memorable evening. The Red Lion Inn
Great Hales St, Market DraytonWe stopped in for a quick birthday lunch on a snow day and were welcomed into a warm and inviting pub, good selection of draught beers, some brewed in house and reasonably priced. We sat by the log burner at the cosy nook end of the pub and ordered two Green Monkey beer battered fish and chips, with a side of gravy and curry sauce. Both arrived promptly and hot, very crispy batter and good chips. Mushy peas and home made tartar sauce. Very delicious ?

26 Cheshire St, Market Draytonwe had a bacon and egg bap and a breakfast wrap both were the best we've had the wrap.waa full not like most places you go and get a limp wrap and the bacon was cooked just right and the egg was lovely and runny just how I like it . and the school cake was lovely and definitely worth the price I will definitely be ordering again and always delivered with a smile from the amazing team at tillys

London Rd, Pipe Gate, Market DraytonThe only issue was there was sea salt on the battered fish and on the chips. I don’t put any salt on my food, if I wanted salt, there’s salt on the table in a salt dispenser and I would put it on myself.
I do wish cooks would stop salting food, not everyone likes or wants salt on their food.

Newcott Fish & Chips
A41 Chester Rd, Tern Hill, Market DraytonThis is an update and replacement for by 2017 review in which I gave a bad score. My family ordered a take-out meal for 6 in January 2024 and it was very good. The standards have improved massively and I no longer hold a complaint against the Newcott outlet. For anyone planning to visit and reading this, it is well worth a try.

Lucky Star Chinese Take Away
11 Stafford St, Market DraytonTo those people saying they were missing food, it happens. I’ve only experienced it once out of my 50 or so times ordering in the past 4 years and when i rung up, they were very polite and happily sent the food and refunded it.

Morrisons Cafe
Maer Ln, Market Drayton5 Stars all round for me....but....I asked for Cheese on Toast. They said they didn't do Cheese on Toast but I could have Cheese AND Toast! Er....they're the 2 main ingredients for Cheese on Toast! Stick 'em together with a bit of heat and, Hey Presto....Cheese on Toast!!! It's not the end of the world I know but either way, I'll be going back (not for Cheese on Toast obviously) as the Staff, service and food are great.

Redwood Smokehouse
Redwood, Rose Hill Rd, Rosehill, Market DraytonFancied a smokehouse BBQ but didnt want a chain, tried this place and it didnt disappoint. You can tell the chef takes pride in his food and the quality was the best I've had. Honestly if you're reading this, try it. Trust me you won't be let down. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere with a log fire, great value for money. Will be back for sure

And the price was one of the cheapest we have come across in some time. Great value for money. We will definitely be visiting again when passing by boat.

The Sandbrook Vaults, 4 Shropshire St, Market DraytonLovely pub with attractive courtyard for those of us who like a crafty cigar with their ale. 43 Shrewsbury Rd, Market DraytonNice roadside pub with a strong leaning to sports. There's a separate pool room with 6 tables and plenty of TVs in the main bar area. We only stopped for a beer which was very good indeed and the barman was chatty and helpful.

205 Shrewsbury Rd, Market DraytonJust had a most gorgeous carvery at the King's Head, choice of 3 meats, and you can have 2 meats, not just 1. Massive portions of meat, homemade large Yorkshire puds, roast potatoes and loads of veg, absolutely lovely atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough for you xx Easily the best Sunday roast in Market Drayton, 11 out of 10 easily, thankyou sooo much xxx

11 Shropshire St, Market DraytonThis is a small, clean restaurant in Market Drayton. The decor is simple and the welcome is always warm. Not a noisy atmosphere so it is great to go to where you can chat to the staff and to your family and friends. \n\nThe food is always delicious. My husband likes the mixed tray of curries so that he gets to try a little bit of everything. I always have the mixed vegetable korma. The food is hot, tasty and come as good sized portions. \n\nThe staff are always pleasant and cheerful and are on hand to make suggestions if you want to try something new or different. Nothing is too much trouble for them. \n\nIt is reasonably priced and we highly recommend it.
