Nomad @ Nº63 - CELLAR & TASTING ROOM
Betton Mill, 1 Betton Rd, Market DraytonWhat a gem of a place this is! Relaxed atmosphere with attentive owners and staff. Came here impromptu with my husband to celebrate my birthday whilst travelling on our narrowboat. Was able to book my table on line with timely confirmation of booking. We were given a warm welcome and taken to our table. There was a place to put our wet coats and umbrella so we could relax in comfort. The wine flights invite you to have a bit of fun as we try to work out which wines we’d been given…they were all interesting with good depth of flavours. The food follows a Mediterranean theme based mostly around cheese but other dishes are available, fresh flavours, deep toppings with an emphasis on the natural and the unprocessed, keeping carbs to a minimum, and this includes the choice of snacks. In no time at all we felt like we were returning locals rather than random strangers. We will definitely find a way to return to this fabulous wine cellar! Thank you so much for a memorable evening. Xx

The Red Lion Inn
Great Hales St, Market DraytonFirst time in a Joules pub and it won't be the last. Food and beer really good. I had the beef shin and cheek and to wash it down Joules pale ale. It's a shame I was driving it went down well.

The Gingerbread Man, Greene King Pub & Carvery
Adderley Rd, Market DraytonWe came here to use the soft play facilities (not the main restaurant). No complaints from the children, who spent all their time playing and didn't get bored. Overall it was a clean and fairly inviting interior, if a little cramped. It was fortunately quiet when we came but I bet when it's busy it's quite cramped, with tables quite close to each other, limited by the size of the venue. Toilets were clean and well maintained, service was OK too, our coffees were bought to us. The usual options of cakes, crisps and chocolate could be seen when we ordered coffee, and there was a menu available too if you wanted to eat.

Newcott Fish & Chips
A41 Chester Rd, Tern Hill, Market DraytonThis is an update and replacement for by 2017 review in which I gave a bad score. My family ordered a take-out meal for 6 in January 2024 and it was very good. The standards have improved massively and I no longer hold a complaint against the Newcott outlet. For anyone planning to visit and reading this, it is well worth a try.

Bamboo Garden
34A Queen St, Market DraytonI have used Bamboo Chinese takeaway for 15 years. 25/27 meals have been very good meals and have been fine recently the last 2 years. 10? Nicely cooked King prawns in a dish, you would struggle to buy, cook and wash for the £5 they used to be, plus rice/noodles inc.

1 Stafford St, Market DraytonOne of the better pubs in town! Mark has done a great job since he's been there and has made the place what it should be, a traditional pub, with good food, a great array of pints and sports available on the TV.The dart boards are some of the best in town and the same story for the pool table.

Robin Hood Inn
Lower Rd, Hookgate, Market DraytonA local country pub with great Thai Food what more could you want on a wet autumn evening? The TOM YUM SOUP ( we had the squid option for 4 ) is very good and lifted our hearts and heads. It is unusual to find an authentic Thai dish being offered outside of a city location but if you do want to warm yourself up and ignite your tastebuds Go to the Robin Hood ! (The website link has issues at present so call or just go ).

The Fox & Hounds
High St, Cheswardine, Market DraytonWe visited on a Saturday night when they had 'Steak night' . The main menu was also available so two of us had the sirloin and the other had cauliflower and broccoli bake. Everything was absolutely delicious. It was so nice to visit a pub that served home made food and wasn't just another 'chain' pub. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the atmosphere in the pub was great. We will definitely return.
