“4th visit was for Sunday lunch and I was the designated driver for a change. Was so lovely to have lots of 0% wines to choose from and the white Muscat was delicious. Sunday lunches were superb, even at 6pm. Mum was thrilled she’d only had the small turkey as that would have been plenty even for the rest of us greedy monsters, but it meant she had room for desserts. My roast pork and chocolate delice were sublime, husbands roast beef and Bakewell were gorgeous (I tried both obviously) and all other guests enjoyed their meal, desserts, drinks and venue. Can’t wait to bring our spaniels here after a walk. Excellent community pub, so glad we found you! PS. I love the staff features on your social media!”

“Pleasant little cafe with a chilled vibe, good food and drink and pleasant, friendly staff. Service was on the laid back side of things so maybe not ideal for a quick visit, but a very nice place to stop by for cake and drink or a meal if the menu tickles your fancy. Nicely furnished and decorated, background music that doesn't interfere, all told gives the place a slightly bohemian atomosphere”

“This is an update and replacement for by 2017 review in which I gave a bad score. My family ordered a take-out meal for 6 in January 2024 and it was very good. The standards have improved massively and I no longer hold a complaint against the Newcott outlet. For anyone planning to visit and reading this, it is well worth a try.”

“Went to the Gingerbread man in the hot weather fancying a nice drink and some food with my mates. Service from Tom and Karter at the bar they were very welcoming and helpful. Freya brought our food over she was very helpful and offered us more drinks and pudding. Couldn't of asked for a better experience. Will definitely come again!”
