Fantastic pub not far from the city centre, it has a lovely warm and welcoming lounge and a larger bar too. Live music on many days of the week, all free entry, give it a go!Parking: Parking is free opposite after 6.30pm

As a party of four we booked in for Sunday lunch and were extremely pleased with the whole experience. Service was very friendly and efficient. We all had roast lunches (pork and turkey) which were substantial with plenty of potatoes and veg, and very good value for the money. The pub was busy and therefore very popular so it would be wise to book beforehand. We shall certainly return.

A wet day in Shrewsbury was made very much brighter by this cosy pub! A good selection of real ales and ciders and a nice lunch menu; starters, small plate mains, jacket potatoes and sandwiches, all reasonably priced. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful and service was very good. The interior is cosy and full of character with nice nooks and crannies to loose yourself in and good views across the road to the abbey church.
