We visited today to celebrate our dear friend’s birthday and wow, what a magical afternoon we had. We had booked a table in the old stables as we wanted to be able to sing happy birthday without upsetting other diners with our terrible singing voices. We were given the lovely table in the corner by the fire, which was just perfect. We were served by a lovely young girl, who made us feel like nothing was too much trouble. We had an excellent meal here (on Boxing Day). Despite the fact that the pub was very busy, the food came very quickly. All the staff were excellent, and I enjoyed a pint (or two) of their real ale.

Enjoyed a two course meal here with three friends on Tuesday 28th November. The service was excellent and staff friendly. The main meals and desserts were excellent - tasty, piping hot and good prices.I had 2 pints of Shropshire Gold and I have tasted better, hence 4 stars.Thank you for a great evening.
