A glorious old world pub, so full of traditional charm, it almost becomes a parody of the type. They brew their own real ale, which is in the traditional styles. Located up a dimly lit country lane. Recommended highly.

It's a very old real ale pub. Very steep bank to get up. Very small car park. Small bar. Just a limited bar menu. Outside toilets. They cater for parties but really no idea how to do this. Went to a party Saturday night. Very poor indeed left within the hour. Would not return. Really just a locals drinking pub. No frills.Kid-friendliness: Not for children. Very uneven ground. Trip hazardsParking: Parking difficult, very steep narrow entrance from the road. Limited space. Road parking Limited, road narrow and steep. Some parking at the bottom of the hill but a steep climb back up.

Brew their own beer and serve food such as cheese baps, pork pie etc. All good stuff. Large garden to rear.

Stumbled across this place today. Stunning ..simply fantastic place ...cant imagine there are many traditional pubs like this left...brews its own ale...highly recommend!....lovely staff...plenty of garden seating space..fresh rolls and snacks on offer. Looking forward to going back❤

Food was good but the pub was downbeat and untidy, albeit honest and proper.

What a find!!!!! We spotted this place whilst out on a circular walk and decided that we needed to come back and investigate at the end. So glad we did. This place is bursting with character. You may as well be across the road at Blists Hill Museum. Super cosy and a proper, traditional pub. They also brew their own beer. We both had a pint and it was exceptional. It was a shame we had to drive home as I think several would have gone down quite nicely. Really friendly locals and staff...really wish we lived nearby and that the pub could be our local.
