Stumbled across this place today. Stunning ..simply fantastic place ...cant imagine there are many traditional pubs like this left...brews its own ale...highly recommend!....lovely staff...plenty of garden seating space..fresh rolls and snacks on offer. Looking forward to going back❤

What a find!!!!! We spotted this place whilst out on a circular walk and decided that we needed to come back and investigate at the end. So glad we did. This place is bursting with character. You may as well be across the road at Blists Hill Museum. Super cosy and a proper, traditional pub. They also brew their own beer. We both had a pint and it was exceptional. This is a fantastic proper unspoilt English pub. When I first visited back in the 1970s it was one of only about 4 pubs in the country that brewed its own beer and it still does. It's a beer lovers dream top quality hand-pulled cask conditioned real ale. The Pub is in a stunning location situated in the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution. There is so much to see around here. Highly recommended.
