Booked a party here way back in January, had the special day planned with head chef Jay ,only for a day before event told of changes because of this most of my decorations I had brought were left in the staff toilet and never used kristina manager- incredibly rude went back on her word regarding plans for venue, made a bucket full of excuses when confronted day later. There's was no apology ..nothing ,instead she had barred my partner who now and again would pop in there for a coup he wasn't even there through the day after discussion ! honestly never seen a manager like her incredibly lazy and just dosnt give a toss about what had happened, all about the cash no enthusiasm or charisma . Couldn't even have my playlist played because that was a inconvenience! Just unbelievable, I gave a star for the service as the only two members of staff did there best, terrible wish I would of gone elsewhere but I know for next time,I am currently looking into taking this matter further as I'm truly disgusted (our guests even wanted to complain) how embarrassing. Food came out incredibly late we were all starving just put anywhere as I ordered a buffet style Sunday type lunch for everyone ,no utensils to pick food up with only forks to eat food with unitl 10 minutes later the knifes arrived . Felt as if it wasn't partyr ather we had just arrived off the street nothing organised . Terrible and disappointing

Booked in January for a christening for 50 people on 17/4/2024 was told we could decorate venue by Jay head chef when booked and have music food would be served buffet style and ready as soon as we arrived yet when we arrived no food ready only 2 staff on for entire pub asked 3 times for food yet sunday lunch diners where being served before us no buffet table at all food was placed in between guests on random tables no utensils given to put out food only given a pot of forks Christina the owner wouldn't allow the staff to turn music up as her son sleeping up stairs genuinely u couldn't even hear it on no organisation at all guests had to clear tables to be able to eat or sit atmosphere was terrible poor servers where run off there feet spoke to Christina today to be told I'm a lier and basically banned my partner because I've made a complaint refused to give me any money back or apologise even after saying they should never have taken the booking as she couldn't cater to it most of my guests left hungry as refused to eat it as the way it was served was shocking having to pick food up mash and veg up with ur hands or just a fork whole thing was a complete joke avoid at all cost owner Christina is a money hungry scammer who agrees to services she can not provide just drops it on her poor bar staff on the day I've has Lot of other issues leading up to the christening wasn't allowed to decorate night before as planned because they had a function on Christina assured me she would do it before most personilised decorations were never put up left in staff toilet we paid for champagne and a couple of days before she said it was prosseco we paid for even though the head chef checked the price e.c.t in front of us when booking could go on with more issues but would be here all day if u have a party avoid this place as lazy owner will do absolutely nothing on the day as will sit at the bar the whole time doing as little as possible!!!

Can’t recommend this place enough! Great choice of food and drinks and the food was to die for, even the kids loved it! Complements to the chef, his team and the lovely front of house staff too. We will be back very soon!

We travelled over an hour to try the dusty miller's Sunday roast after seeing on Facebook the food there head chef jay is producing, and all I can say is it was one of the best Sunday dinners I have ever had! Everything was cooked to perfection and thought about, not just chucked onto a plate as alot of places do! Very reasonable prices and a friendly welcome from all the staff.

We were visiting from Northern Ireland to explore rural authentic England and sampling local cuisine. The Dusty Miller was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. In regards to the restaurant/bar itself, it was very cosy, newly refurbished and had a warm authentic English bar vibe. There are a wide range of Ales, Lagers and more to accommodate for everyones taste! For dining we opted for Fish & Chips and Steak & ale pie. Both fresh, full of flavour and fantastic overall. Proper homestyle, homemade cooking.Prior to our meal, we went for a walk to explore the area. The perimeter is surrounded by canals, boats and rural walks throughout the countryside. A great way to get you ready for a great meal and a few pints!Would definitely recommend this fine establishment and will most definitely return. Thank you!

Great pub with an amazing friendly atmosphere. The dusty miller very kindly allowed us to stay overnight in our campervan in their carpark, we enjoyed a beautiful 3 course meal, and a lovely evening in the pub afterwards.Beautiful location, we had a lovely canalside walk the next day, very peaceful location. We will absolutely be returning, we cannot wait. Thanks again

Went for a Sunday roast around tea-time and it was great. The food was hot and there was alot of beef and veg on the plate. We also had "cauliflower cheese" as an extra and it was amazing!!! A must try rural pub with friendly owners.
