Well, what can I say. The ambiance of the Indian subcontinent created by the maps and visuals from the days of Empire is very homely and interesting. There are three main eating areas and this time we were in the main restaurant and then after in the bar. The food - Three Pappadum Starter, Mains of Goat Curry (me) and Chicken and Spinach Balti (significant other) is excellent and the meat is first rate. Very friendly staff. The foodxwasxreally good. They have small plates menu which means that three courses are possible. Had the breaded brie with salad and a Cumberland dressing which was very tasty. Main course was lasagne with salad and garlic bread, followed by ginger pudding, toffee sauce and ice cream. All very scrummy .It has a very cosy, old fashioned feel to it, definitely worth more than one visit.

Whist at Wrenbury we decided to walk over to the Bhurtpore Inn in Aston. Its a 60 minute walk across footpaths if you want to avoid roads. Ended up coming back on a different route to make it a good circular walk - have a look at OS Maps. Really impressed with the pub/restaurant when we arrived. Had lunch outside in the garden.
