I really liked the place, the quality of the food was very good, for the regular service, between dishes we waited a long time and we were not very hungry, I brought two girls and they hardly ate for waiting so long....a shame the truth!!!

Food & drinks: Visited for lunch. Service and ambience excellent. Food very good but fell a bit short on execution for the price. Recommended nevertheless!

Great place but a little over priced (and I live in London). Staff were lovely, super friendly, and were so nice to my daughter.

We came here as we were recommended it by a colleague. The restaurant had excellent service and had a real rustic vibe to it. We got the mushroom vol au vent, mackerel starter, venison, gurnard and bread pudding. Every dish was incredible! It all tasted so good. The venison is halal according to the waitress but the rest of the meats were not. We would definitely recommend coming here for the restaurant.

Stopped by here for just a moment on our way back from a hiking/camping weekend. Very friendly staff that gave us a much needed refill for our waterskins. The inside had the vibe of a cosy old english estate house, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside and there were deer walking around out outside! Awesome place and I'm glad we dropped by. :)

Had an excellent lunch here! Perfectly cooked trout, excellent potato terrine and the cheesecake was to die for. The grounds are just gorgeous

Stayed here to celebrate our engagement and it was perfect. It’s a treat without feeling pretentious. The room was a good size and well equipped and food In restaurant delicious. All the staff were so helpful and made our stay feel really special. Great spa treatment too.

This review is for our room only as feel the restaurant is just horribly over priced. Our room however was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed . We were so fortunate to stay in The Hyde a beautiful escape from the world ! Laying in bed with the log burner going and seeing deer is a memory forever and if you are the kind of person that loves to spend hours in a huge free standing bath looking at leafs falling this will be a dream. The bathroom is huge with a sofa you can chill on and huge shower as well . Our only niggle was that for the price the Pigs charge a few free in room treats would be nice but at least a huge supply of logs was included Would stay again but maybe give the restaurant a missRooms: Fully recommend The Hyde incredibly beautifulFood & drinks: Restaurant is very over priced

The accommodation was lovely. Staff were friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Location was very pretty, but unfortunately I have scored it 3 stars, as what should have been a peaceful and relaxing day, was ruined by the constant noise from the motor cross which went on for the majority of the day in the neighbouring field!! Shame this fact seemed to be completely ignored. I never mentioned this to my daughter and son-in-law, as they had bought it as a gift!

Family of 4, we stayed over the August bank holiday weekend. Whilst the hotel doesn’t specifically cater for children, the team at the Pig took such great care of us, offering a fun treasure hunt around the grounds and even letting the kids make their own pizza in the pizza oven. Everyone seemed to understand the challenges of travelling with 2 young children and were so accommodating that we felt like there had been a memo sent round to specifically look after us.Thank you so much for the care and attention, it made the experience so much better than we could have expected. We will surely return.Food & drinks: Food is outstanding and the service was excellent. A very well design seasonal menu and a drinks list to keep you discovery new favourites.Noteworthy details: The most beautifully manicured kitchen garden is as much a work of art as a functional necessity for the seasonal menu. An attraction in itself. The collection animals on your doorstep is pretty cool too.

Extremely overrated. Read the negative reviews before spending hundreds of your pounds. Poor service and even worse food for the price point. Way more style over substance. Will not be going back that's for sure. Might want to give guests a heads up that it's 2 hour turnover times before they're seated - I get it restaurants have to turn over in those times but they need to make their guests aware of that before being seated and not ushered away from their tables before desserts can be ordered. The only reason we reached 2 hours was due to the slow service. Nice that it's local produce but they've butchered those products with the amount of seasoning they put on the dishes. Spend your money elsewhere IMO. Put it this way, we had a voucher from a gift for the pig hotel and didn't use the full sum due to not wanting to spend any more at this is establishment. Gave the remainder of the voucher to a friendly pub owner nearby told them not to use it on the food though.

Unfortunately the pig is overpriced. We paid the same today for our meal at the pig as we did yesterday at the Hand and Flowers Marlow. The pig just isn’t good enough for the prices they charge. £45 for a sirloin steak and chips Is far too much unless it’s the best steak ever., which it was not! Overcooked monkfish, undercooked greens, some of my guests had to spit these out as they got fed up trying to masticate them any longer! Staff are great but food standards are very average and when compared to the price downright poor. We won’t be returning again.

Stayed overnight passing through Somerset. Dinner and wine were excellent as always and our room excellently appointed too. We have stayed there a few times now, and the hotel has rapidly become a firm favourite. Their attention to detail is much appreciated.

Amazing anniversary lunch in an idilic country location. Perfect for all year round and especially on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The food is such great quality and good sized portions in a really relaxing setting. Love it!Food & drinks: Locally sourced, great quality and good sized portions!
