I recently had a very disappointing experience at Sedgemoor Cookhouse. I was refused service for no reason, and I was left feeling humiliated and angry.I arrived at the restaurant on a Friday evening with my partner. We were seated at a table and given menus. We ordered our drinks and food, and then we waited. After about 15 minutes, a waitress came to our table and said that the chef had refused to cook our food. She didn't give us any reason for this, and she just shrugged when we asked her why.We were shocked and confused. We had done nothing to offend the chef or the staff, and we couldn't understand why they were refusing to serve us.We asked to speak to the manager, but he was nowhere to be found. The waitress said that she would try to find him, but she never came back.We waited for another 10 minutes, but the manager still didn't appear. We were so disgusted by the way we had been treated that we decided to leave. As we were walking out of the restaurant, we saw the chef standing in the kitchen. He was laughing and joking with the other staff members. It was clear that he didn't care that he had ruined our evening.I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated at Sedgemoor Cookhouse. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. If you are looking for a place to eat where you will be treated with respect, then you should avoid Sedgemoor Cookhouse at all costs.

For your typical chain restaurant, the experience is enhanced by the eye of detail in the food and service.Hot food, clean venue, friendly staff.Charlotte was a very lovely human being who you can tell cares very much about her staff team and the quality of service they deliver.Thank you for a very nice experience.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access ♿️

I recently ate at the pub with my family, excellent service and the food was perfect.I had the fish and chips and finished off with a triple chocolate brownie.I recommended this family friendly restaurant and will definitely be returning.Kid-friendliness: It’s really helpful having the kids play area

Very good indeed. First time ever in the area, and we found this little gem. Very quickly seated, We started with a nice glass of fresh orange juice and then fed with a good breakfast and a nice cappuccino. In and out in 45 minutes paid less than £20.The chap in charge was very helpful and efficient, too.

Came with my partner a few weeks back and the service was fantastic, the lady who showed us to the table was very polite and even the chef came out to serve our food, we've also come here before for the unlimited breakfast and it's absolutely fantastic, great value for money and love coming back. We had a voucher that we used aswell which went through smoothly so very happy with that. Will be visiting a lot more soon ?Parking: Great free parking for the restaurant use.

Front of house service friendly and efficient but refused a breakfast order before 10.30 and seemed in a huge hurry to clear away breakfast products. It made me feel as if I was being rushed. The breakfast had obviously been prepared perfectly. However, despite being under heat lamps, it was only luke warm which was disappointing. The venue was clean and comfortable.

Good food, smothered chicken was lush. Staff seemed happy and atmosphere was lovely. Kids enjoyed the play area.

Lovely food and lovely service. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. All staff were polite and we received good service with a friendly smile. Didn’t have to wait to king for our food and it arrived lovely and hot. All good was as described on the menu. Will def come again and recommended the pub for its food and service.

We stayed at the Premier Inn on Sunday night and booked the meal deal (dinner and breakfast) with the room booking. After reading some negative reviews about the restaurant we were a bit apprehensive about what we were going to get. Credit where credit’s due, it was all excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive and the service was great. The food was delicious - best mixed grill we’ve ever had. The breakfast next morning was also great. Well done to the staff and chef!

Really friendly staff. Great vegan options - vegan chocolate torte was incredible! The burger was amazing.

Diabolical. We came last year and it was amazing. Gone massively down hill. Real shame change of management makes a huge difference clearly. We have come here for the last few years and we have always used the pub as a pit stop on the way to butlins. This time round it was awful. Food was cold.. long wait.. rude managers. We miss Stephanie!! Waste of money. Avoid at all costs . Go somewhere else.

I am never one to review or complain however I cannot stay quiet about our experience. The manager should really have her job questioned. Booked over a month ago for a birthday where both parties had to travel 2 hours as a surprise. Greeted by the manager telling us she had no availability, explained we had booked well in advance to be told “well we still have no availability”. I tried to explain again we had booked to which we was told “I will deal with you in a minute”. Spoilt the whole surprise for the person whose birthday it was as I had to keep explaining we had booked a table and people from our table were already seated. Still saying this wasn’t enough as was told no availability (despite members of our party after having the same argument be seated at the table we booked). Luckily, a lovely lady (who should have been manager) interrupted the interaction and showed us straight to our table and apologised countless times and gave us excellent service. Throughout our time at the restaurant members of staff even stormed off due to the management. This should really be looked in to as we were disgusted by our treatment after driving an extremely long way. I booked over a month in advance, I understand there are other bookings but we came with 3 children and as above made the booking a month ago - could someone not have called to tell us the children are not aloud in the play area due to a party? I want to thank the lovely lady who could not stop apologising to us and it seems it is not just how customers are treated… The manager is disgusting and if we did not have children who were hungry we would not have stayed - will never return.

Took my boys in on Friday. They love it here. Soft play and food. It was a lot busier than normal. But the service and food was still good. We were served by sophie. Always stops for a chat with the boys. Will be back again soon.
