We were on our way to meet up with our daughter and her partner, who had been attending a wedding in Cornwall, and were travelling back to Shropshire.I phoned to ask if a table for four was available, and received a very friendly response.On arrival, we were made to feel very welcome, including our dog.The food portions were ample, well prepared and well presented.The bill was so reasonable that my wife asked if there had been a mistake.The pub and it's owners deserve success,...read full review

Visited for small family lunch. Friendly and attentive staff, light, bright and clean interior, food was prompt and tasty, generous portions, (took some home)! Nice atmosphere. Don’t let slightly tired exterior put you off. Would visit again

Great food and beer. The Puriton burger takes a good appetite to finish but is worth the effort. Large portions and no end of extras available. Service was great and a real credit to the village.
