Lamb perfectly cooked. A big group, almost 40, and so elbow space, a bit tightFood & drinks: All presented well. The food was well cooked. Plates could have been hotter for so many covers.

Super value and super food right in the centre of Bruton. A restaurant that major cities would be glad to have in their high street .... how fortunate for us it is in Bruton. Friendly and efficient service with staff willing to go the extra mile for their customers. Highly recommended but be sure to book to get a table.

Really beautiful converted chapel, and a great buzzy atmosphere. We had a great lunch, and there was a really lovely selection of small plates, mains and Pizza. Good service, delicious food, we would love to come back, and stay next time ❤️Food & drinks: Burrata and rolled lamb small plates were a great choice!

At The Chapel has an excellent restaurant and I strongly recommend the chorizo pizza (£15). This a fresh sourdough pizza which honestly was one of the best I have ever tasted. There is table service too, and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant for all. They also have happy hour on Fridays from 6-9pm.Food & drinks: Happy hour 6-9pm

Tried various foods here - coffee, cider, pizza, chicken and beef dish. Coffee, as other people mentioned, barista needs a training. Pizza was very nice, dough is really fresh, other ingredients as well - Highly recommended. Cider, Chicken and beef were okay good but not great. I would return for the pizza!

It’s our first evening in Bruton and we couldn’t have picked a better venue for our evening meal. The service was awesome lizzie looked after us and the food too was top class. The restaurant itself is a 1700’s chapel presented in a modern stylish and relaxing way.I would highly recommend. Next time we will try the hotel as well.

We were hoping to have a lovely lunch even though we knew it would be a little pricey. The reality was that the whole experience was extremely disappointing. The entrance was chaotic, unfriendly and unwelcoming. The decor felt really uninspiring and we had to work hard to get served. Whilst we waited for the menus we were given a bottle of tepid tap water. Not a great start! The staff were totally inattentive and I think we were finally served by the owner who seemed pre-occupied and uninterested! The French onion soup was a bowl of tasteless mush that looked like it had given up the Will to live!and the burrito dish was just bland and uninteresting. The one flat white coffee was great! For this experience we paid £26.18 which included £2.38 of non-agreed service charge! I really hope the owners take note of this review. We entered At the Chapel really expecting to have a lovely meal and experience. We left feeling ripped off. The final insult was when I used the ladies and non of the toilet doors actually locked! Unsurprisingly we won’t be back. Two minutes further down the road we found a lovely cafe/ bookshop for coffee and cake. The whole experience was vastly better and much more realistically priced!

The dining experience itself was perfect but the person handling restaurant reservations over the phone not so much!We wanted to have a late lunch (with a dog in tow) on new years’ eve. I called the restaurant at 2:32pm on Sunday 31st Dec to try and make a last minute reservation. The female staff member on the phone told us very matter of factly we could only sit in the upper gallery (where dogs are allowed) but it was currently fully booked and busy. She said she could seat us at 5pm.After calling numerous other places in the area, not many allowed dogs so we decided to pitch up to At The Chapel anyway and potentially wait for a table/ see what happens. We were seated in the upper gallery immediately and to our surprise found no one else dining there. I got the impression the initial staff member on the phone unsympathetically just did not want to accommodate or deal with our booking.

Onion soup was a bowl of onion jam, no liquid only oil, the ceviche was bland and tasteless. Slightly baffled by the prices versus what was served. I was really hoping for something special but the food wasn’t. The service and venue great but food was below average.

Second visit since the chapel opened years ago . I was not very impressed with either visit. Service is very slow to say the least. A gentleman sat at the next table to our's was served his coffee and was waiting for croissant to arrive which wasn't forthcoming until he reminded the waitress. Mine was the other way round - served croissant and waited a while before coffee. Not sure why the delay as no cooking was required. ! Probably will not be returning any time soon.

Took my Mum for Christmas day lunch and it was spot on; beautiful room, lovely atmosphere, attentive, friendly and warm service and a delicious 4 course set menu. we left feeling slightly too full and very happy.
