No food, as the chef had left so can’t comment on food.

We went in after reading the TP review and it was amazing, the men who run it were lovely, the food was amazing. It’s definitely a hidden gem. Next time I am that way I will definitely be going back.

The Lamb Inn at Spaxton, Somerset is a country pub with skittle alley. Evening meals are served on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Lunch is available on Sundays. My friends and I rank the food highly. This week the chef kindly worked an extra duty to cook evening meals for my group of 4 on Wednesday. Our meals, both main course and pudding, were of generous proportions served piping hot on hot crockery. What more could you ask for? There is a 'specials' board to accompany their ever constant delectable meat pies which are served in individual dishes, unless you prefer them on the plate as I do, in which case request this when ordering. There is off-road parking space in front of the pub and the adjoining public highway can accommodate overflow. It is said that the hospitality sector is having a hard time at present, so your custom would be much appreciated. Enjoy your visit to this rustic establishment - I think you will be pleased. Good luck.

Now its fair to say the pub needs a refresh and a spruce but the food was superb. The pies were excellent and the belly pork was fantastic. Such a shame for a saturday night that there was only 5 of us in there. Deserves better so give it a go if you like proper pub food.

How is it still trading? Saturday night, 8pm, 2 chaps at the bar, warm beer been sat in the pipe for a long time, no one eating. Very run down inside and out. Access to beer garden through the skittle alley, old caravan and rotten car and falling down buildings. Really no idea how it's still open if this is its weekend trade .

Good beer, pleasant landlord, nice. Shame it's so quiet on a Saturday. I hope that they keep going.

Lovely, proper country pub, with a good selection of beers.

A fantastic little local pub, I enjoyed one of the Lamb Inns amazing Steak and Kidney pies and came back to try their delicious Pork belly. Lovely local sourced home cooked food at its finest. Highly recommended.

My partner and I are so pleased we popped in for dinner. What a lovely pub, a proper traditionsl, English pub. The owners are lovely too. But the best bit was the homemade pies! Absolutely delicious! Definitely worth a visit for a good, traditional, honest and delicious meal.
Stopped in while walking the Quantocks as we’d been told about the home-made pies, which surpassed expectations: beautifully rich sauces and tender meat (we had the chicken and leek and steak and mushroom). Lovely warm welcome and well kept beer - Spaxton is lucky to have such a great example of the traditional village pub. Do go and support them.

New owners and what a disappointing evening dining out with friends. The service was very slow and the food disappointing. The sauces which were supplied in sachets and accompanied with the meal were out of date. Will not be rushing back.
