It's our 5th visit. We had a roasts for the first time there, on a Sunday. Although we've eaten in the week, so thought we'd try a roastie! When we arrived, the pub was packed. We ordered and paid, then I carried a plate for husband, as he's walking with two sticks. A good choice of three meats. Hubby chose pork and a few crackling. Needed more waitresses, they were like buses... plus waitresses eating meat from carvery? Surprised at that! Unfortunately one ladies toilet not working, told by staff member that it was due to the Roman pipework ! Another surprise...

Food was amazing with lovely friendly staff. I can definitely recommend the pan fried chicken in Stilton. Chicken was beautifully cooked and the veg and dauphinoise potatoes were amazing. The pub is split into smaller sections so you never feel like you are eating with lots of other people and the bar is very cosy and maintains that really authentic pub feel.
