Looks inviting from the outside but a bit disappointing overall in terms of atmosphere and only one toilet! The staff are friendly and the coffee was ok. We had a full veggie breakfast which was not worth the money to be honest. Too much salt, too much oil, a barely fried egg and cold toast. Maybe the lunches are better but not impressed with the breakfast we ate.

Lovely place for coffee and lunch. Dogs welcome which is a bonus. Very friendly staff who were helpful and provided great service. It was busy so we did have to wait 10 minutes for a space.Coffee was great and they had lots of food options. A little on the pricey side (£10 for a toasties, salad and slaw) but the food was substantial and delicious.Would recommend.

friendly service and a lovely building and atmosphere. But..truly awful soup. whoever made the soup didn't taste it and if they did, someone else should have felt the texture and no taste/runny green . It was spinach and cabbage, which on reflection might have been a warning. it cost over 8 pounds with supermarket spliced bread, and we all struggled to eat it and spoke about it all afternoon. we didn't say anything as the staff were young and lovely but I will think twice before returning .

We always use this cafe for coffee when we visit my mother who is in a care home in Street. The cafe was very busy on Saturday as it was the Christmas Fair, so we were not sure of a table being available. The staff member as soon as she saw mum's wheelchair said she couldn't accommodate us due to health and safely as the wheelchair could block access. Two very kind customers offered us their 4 seater table as they were ready to leave. I explained to the staff member that the wheelchair folded down and mum can use a chair to sit in but was told it wasn't possible. Rather than argue we left along with two other customers who were in the queue behind us. They had overheard the conversation and said based on the staff members poor attitude they would rather go elsewhere . Very disappointing.

Not as good as usual today. Our coffee was plonked, heavily, onto the table with no offer to clean the saucer/spill. Realistically, that's only one member of staff, but my almond croissant was stodgy and cold.

We drank something called a cuddle, was really nice. Spot on name for something which did indeed feel like a cuddle, nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Poor service, waitress didn’t tell us they’d be a wait for food as only 1 chief. Waited 50mins for food, no one informed us of wait time or gave apologies. When food arrived it was very mediocre, undercooked jacket potatoes, uninteresting salad, no dressing, refried beans were watery tomatoes with few mixed beans, probably from tin. Very disappointing lunch, grim experience all round.

I’ve dined here several times before and was excited to introduce my sister, however the staff were unfriendly, to the point of being smug, the atmosphere was unfriendly and extremely noisy. I was curious how such a lovely place could become so chalk and cheese, and upon talking to locals got my answer - Under new management’. They are trading on a good reputation, it will be interesting to see where they are in 6 months. I wouldn’t recommend.

Perplexed by the reviews and how busy this place is given how poor the food quality was. I wouldn’t say the prices were outrageous, but I would absolutely expect a higher standard for what we paid. Salad was clearly out of a bag and way past it’s best; leaves were stale/brown on the ends. The burger was dry and unseasoned, the bun was awful - it did not present well at all. Potato salad dry. Overpriced baked potato was totally crucified, blackened to a crisp. Gross! The soup of the day looked ok. Toilet had the remnants of hand soap that was watered down to extend its life. Shame as it looks a nice place from the outside. Might be ok for coffee and cake - but I wouldn’t risk it as lunch was so terrible. I would have complained had my elderly parents not been there - simply didn’t want to create a scene on our family day out.

The location is nice, you can reach it easily ... The service was not what we expect ... The order of my friend has been forgotten and I have got my cake after half an hour ... The waiter was not welcoming any comment....

Otherise pleasant experience marred by rather abrasive, curt server who appeared to be in charge. Other customers similarly treated

What a Wonderful cafe. Place looked great & so inviting. Was quirky! Had a great range of food on the menu and plenty for vegans!! Cakes were amazing too! All hand made. Food was delicious & staff were so friendly!

If you like vegetarian or vegan food or wish to support an ecologically friendly business this is an excellent restaurant. The service is good though I think we were forgotten at one point but not surprisingly as it was very busy. It has a rustic atmosphere and is not "posh".Parking: You will need to walk a few hundred yards from available street parking or car parks
