A surprising place! It was raining hard when we got off the bus, so went into the first pub we saw. Almost a throwback to the 1970's with its separate little bars. Excellent choice of beer and cider. We chose the latter, would be rude not to when in Somerset. Very quiet at lunchtime but we were well looked after. Doesn't do food, signs say to bring your own if you wish.
A fine independent pub, whose special feature is welcoming customers to bring take-away meals in, even providing crockery and cutlery, and selling Old Rosie real cider.[Sad to update that Buster, the long-resident spaniel, has finally perished after surviving a stroke and defying cancer. Raise a glass of the best to him].
