I had a really unpleasant experience in this cafe. I asked for some sausages for my dog and gave my dog the sausages on the plate I was given. I gave my dog the plate to eat from and the owner snapped at me for doing so. He was the rudest, most obnoxious person I have ever met in hospitality. (As someone who works in a shop myself I would never dream of talking to my customers this way.)He went on to tell me as I was leaving that I was banned in future from eating there. What an awful and negative experience. Stay well away!!!!My guests and friends will be warned.

Simply the best cafe in Glastonbury. Good food, accommodating to menu amendments, hot drinks that are actually hot, and a great vibe. The artwork covering the walls is all done by the owners and the music isn't the usual chart rubbish, so the place has a really unique and homely feel. Plus the prices are reasonable!

The Gecko embodies the spirit of Glastonbury that the majority of other cafés here do not, with the exception of the Rainbow's End Cafe which is also made of the right stuff. The food is very good quality and very tasty, and their coffee is the best I've had in Glastonbury. Just good quality, strong and tasty coffee. Some of the other cafés in town are extremely bland for coffee, which always puzzles me as it's literally their business to sell coffee. The place is very relaxed and the vibe is chilled and laid back. There's usually some light instrumental reggae music playing and the walls and furniture are all adorned with purchasable art that is made by people who own / work in the cafe.Sometimes the service can be a little too laid back, and the only bad reviews you tend to see for this place relate to service. Personally I find the staff are very nice and interesting to talk to if you go in regularly, and I like the laid back attitude they have. I can understand why some might not get it if they pop in for a one off, so I would generally disregard bad reviews for service and just try to relax and embody the vibes of the place when you visit.I love this place, I've tried all the other cafés in town and they lack any kind of personality and soul which this place has in spades. Rainbow's End is also decent but takes FOREVER to get served and is quite expensive. The rest you would find in any town in the UK and add nothing to the spirit of Glastonbury.

Excellent food and and very friendly. I often bring my elderly parents here with their various sticks and wheelchair. They love it and it is the highlight of their week. Thanks Lazy Gecko for your understanding and compassion and the great food. You are the very essence of what Glastonbury is about. ?

We visited in April and the food was amazing and service great ! However today although the food was still ok the service was appalling! The chap working there ignored us even when directly spoken to , acted like we were an inconvenience and the atmosphere was very different from last night . What an absolute shame . We won’t be back sadly , rudeness beyond belief ?

What a shamble! I asked as 10.05am when they were open? Sign says 10am! I cannot believe the tirade that followed! Rude, swearing etc. I really like their food it is good ! But I will never darken their door again!

I love visiting the Lazy Gecko Café for breakfast as I love their eggs benedict. But really, everything there is delicious. :) Loved the healthy smoothies as well. It's a very lovely place, also displaying (and selling) local arts and crafts and the garden seating area at the back is very nice as well.

If you like a plate full of resentment served with low grade coffee, which is poorly made. Too Personal having a tantrum at their customers.

Just picked this place from a Google search. Well worth a visit. Friendly service. Dog friendly. Some interesting options on the menu. I had the fish chowder, which was excellent.Parking: Large public car park across the road. I had no trouble finding a parking spot on a Friday in June.

Doesn’t look much from the outside and could put some people off visiting, but, very nice inside with comfortable seating, calming music and fantastic food. Dropped in twice whilst we were visiting Glastonbury. Ate inside on our first visit and on our second visit we ate in the garden at the rear. Really nice food and pleasant staff.
