Not my best experience. Sweet & Sour Peking Pork was burnt & chewy. Rice sludgy. Normally would highly recommended but tonight a total disappointment and not satisfied.

Since we had been to a workshop in the evening we needed some "fast and good food" afterwards and came across this place. Absolutely lovely service and the food was very, very delicious! Recommend!

I’ve not written a trip advisor review in years but the chips we had were so awful, they made me question whether I wanted to live. We waited for 15 minutes after being told they’ve be ready straight away (we ordered just chips) which would have been ok if they had been nice but we couldn’t eat them. We are both greedy buggers so this is quite unusual. They tasted reheated and coated in old grease, luke warm and neither soggy nor crispy. Part of my soul has been lost tonight and I don’t think I’ll ever get it back. I imagine this is how a horcrux is formed. We’ve left them on the bin outside the co-op in case anyone wants them for dark magic.

Food is ok, but if it takes 1 hour wait for 1 pack of rice, at least let me know in advance.

Absolutely fantastic tonight.Always loved this place and although the menu has gone up in price, I was ordering from a menu that I’ve had for about 3 years and the food has actually only gone up 70p a dish so really fair.I would recommend the house special curry, sesame prawn toast, crispy shredded beef is the best, s/s chicken balls perfect, I could go on and on. Try it yourself best around ?

We placed an order here when our regular Chinese was closed, only to arrive home and find we'd been given the wrong meal. We phoned and a very nice girl put our name in their book for a free meal next time. Several weeks later we decided to try again, my husband ordered the chow mein, it was inedible, bland, colourless and tasteless, my thai red curry was watery only managed to eat is as I had put my rice on it to soak up the red liquid. This cost us £10.30!! My husband took his back and was told that's what it should look like, well that's not what it looked like last time or from any Chinese we've used before and they refused to do anything about it. My husband told them they've lost a customer, the guy on the desk said " oh well we're always getting new customers anyway." Bad attitude for someone in that line of work. We've both ran our own successful business in catering for many years and we don't complain lightly either they have had a change of chef or they are going down the pan. Sad to see.

The Chinese takeaway across the road used to have food ready in ten minutes. The Oriental Chef asked us to come back in 35 – but it was well worth the wait. We were extremely pleased with the food. Being a party of three with slightly different preferences, we opted for a set vegetarian dinner for two, and a couple of single items, plus fritters (banana and apple). This proved to be a bit too much for us, and lasted for two meals instead of one! The sizes of portions are very generous. The Oriental Chef also takes credit cards, and have English-speaking staff.

The quality of the food has GONE DOWNHILL. The food used to be really tasty, with distinctive flavours - you could taste the ingredients. I always used this take-away because of this reason. My last meal was bland, greasy, with missing ingedients. If you want oily food with lots of MSG this is the one for you. I thought I had discovered a great take-away with really nice food - not any more! In future I will be taking my custom elsewhere.

As others have said it’s the best chinese in the area by a long mile. Kung Po chicken is heaven - but all their dishes are flavourful and unique. Sometimes a long wait, but it’s literally because they’re so popular, and it really is worth the wait.

As there were 2 Chinese takeaways almost opposite each other, we sat and counted how many people went in each for a while before deciding on this one. The huge money tree as you go in is a proper treat. The lass taking the orders was friendly and chatty. We got our food in good time and sat down the road to eat it. 10/10 for quantity and taste. We are both vegetarians and had the special rice and curry sauce, nothing too exciting you might think, but to us it was fabulous!

We ordered duck pancakes and quite other bits to get home (15 mins drive away) to realise we had no sauce or veg to go with the pancakes and chicken balls and sauce so my partner had to go back and get it. The woman on the phone didn’t seem very sorry on the phone just that could we go back and get the rest to leave the other food to get cold at home. Will not be recommending. Is a shame as used to go regularly here but has deffo gone down hill

Well cooked and fresh. Decent sized portions but not full blow out which is fine.
