Nicky the landlady was exceptional, very warm, jolly and friendly on our arrival. Nothing was to much effort. We loved taking part in the local quiz night which takes part on the first sunday of the month.
Look forward to staying again one day.”
Pubs • “We called in to the Royal Oak on our way home from Weymouth so we could have a meal. Friendly warm welcome from staff and customers, delicious pizzas made to order. Good prices too. Wish it was our local!”

“We booked at short notice for Christmas Day Lunch, after plans had to change to accomodate elderly relatives in different locations. Kerry (the Manager) was extremely helpful on the phone and with follow-up e-mails. We received a warm welcome on arrival, and food was bought out promptly. Staff were helpful and festive, and very kind towards my elderly father-in-law who has dementia. Comparing the cost with other Christmas Day providers and the service we received, we felt it was very good value for money.”
