Would highly recommend the Sunday carvery. Not only was the food plentiful and delicious but very good value too. As always Buddy, Kate and the team create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

We came here as a family for a Sunday lunch after seeing all the lovely pictures and all the great reviews we were really looking forward to coming as we don’t have much money so don’t eat out for lunch much and we were very disappointed in our experience, the meats seemed very processed and were very small circular cuts, the veg looked nice but had to many different seasonings. The meal was cold by the time we sat down at our table and the puddings looked incredible on others reviews when actually we were very disappointed in a selection of only 2 puddings that were clearly defrosted frozen puddings not home made like others have shared before. Very disappointing experience of food and expensive it was over £100 for 4 adults and 2 children however staff were very nice

Delicious carvery and amazing staff. The waitress will the gorgeous blue braids was so friendly and chatted to my elderly mother about the process of the braids. Sadly my mum won't be getting hers done.

We thought we’d try the Sunday carvery as we are getting married here next year and we are glad we did! Everything was really tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were very welcoming also. We will be back soon!

We just moved from Kent to chard and this is the 1st time out for dinner. The owners are very friendly and happy as the staff was. Made us feel very welcome on our 1st visit out after moving here ? will definitely be back ? xxx

What a brilliant little spot. We brought visiting family for a carvery and the atmosphere, food, and (especially) the people were awesome in every way. Great vegetarian options on asking, including carvery, and a wide drinks choice. Brilliant for family's with children and the owners were so welcoming of every single one of us. We will most definitely be back to try some of the menu.

Most amazing Sunday carvery, potatoes roasted to perfection. Superb selection of meats and vegetables, followed by the best bread pudding ever, just like my gran used to make. Looking forward to my next visit

Probably better to visit this pub in the summer felt a bit lost in a great big room , could have been a bit more welcoming no one said hello or anything, food was OK not much of a Caribbean choice , quite pricey , but will go in the summertime next time we visit
