Absolutely fantastic food, staff and atmosphere, served by the owner who made us very welcome. This is a cash only establishment but there is a cashpoint across the road.Well worth a visit and great value for money.

The Apple tree tea room was our go to place when we were in Minehead but after our experience on my last visit we will never go again. On all our previous visits the food and service has been excellent but on our last visit we were left very upset and disappointed by the whole experience and the service we received.Me my husband and two friends attended 2weeks ago we placed our order with the waitress .. who read back the order which was correct however when the order came 2 of the sandwiches ordered were not correct however we thought anyone can make a mistake and initially accepted what we were given. on reflection we realized one of the party could not eat the bread given her and we had also been given two portions of crisps that we hadn't ordered at an extra cost. I called a member of staff over and explained the situation and he then asked an older woman to sort the problem. She very sarcastically said she would remove anything that we didn't want and would replace the sandwiches with the granary bread we actually ordered but did say as the had run out of turkey that they would have to use the same filling which we readily accepted. when the sandwiches came back there was far less than we had returned the sandwiches were much smaller crusts had been removed and instead of the 4 quartered sandwiches there was only 2 on each plate. My husband pointed this out and her response was "I will bring you a knife and you can cut them in half !!!! I wish i had taken photos of the replacement sandwiches received .It was at this point I was very annoyed as the woman's attitude had been very sarcastic and condescending all through and felt as though she was talking down to me .....whatever happened to being courteous to your paying guests. I then asked to speak to the owner as I was not a happy customer only to be told she was in fact the owner at which point I asked where was the usual lovely young lady who was usually in charge was as I had never previously had any problems...... apparently that was her daughter; at which point I did comment that it was such a shame that she didn't take a leaf out her book and treat people with respect. I was very annoyed with the way we were treated and although i told her so i was still respectful to her and was not prepared to be spoken to in that manner. At this point we left and told her we would only be paying for the food and drinks we had actually consumed and that we would never under any circumstances return. We left and went to the Wheelhouse . and very extremely happy with our food and excellent customer service

We were visit the area and had sometime to stop for a tea and cake. I had read about this place online. Very easy to find. Public parking is available close by thanks to the park. My daughter had a slice of cake and I had a scone with tea. My only regret, I only had one scone! My advice, order 2! It was lovely and warm and with the clotted cream and jam, it was perfect. Loved the decor, very eclectic. Would go back again.

Went for late lunch on Friday afternoon I had the soup of the day well for the cost of £7.90 I was disappointed the portion of soup was not much bigger than a tea cup accompanied by a roll and butter I was very disappointed at the meal 1. For the small amount of soup ( soup is relatively cheap to make) I understand food prices have increased but really £7.90 for tiny bowl of soup and roll is extortionate

Excellent service in this clean and quaint little tea room. Serves perfect light meals and afternoon tea in proper cups and saucers. Doris Day sang my afternoon away today. I enjoyed my cheese and tomato panini and tea. NOTE: CASH ONLY

An attractive looking cafe/ restaurant in an avenue with an abundance of various types of food outlets This offers a rather traditional aspect of dining and I would describe it principally as being English cuisine. Moderately priced and efficient staffing, it makes a pleasant place to stop off for tea or coffee or light refreshment. Main meals are also available If you like a traditional tea room where you can take your time, this is a good place to try

We must have been unlucky, given all the positive reviews! Sticky table, staff seemed disorganised and not working as a team, standing about and inattentive. Our waitress was sullen, unsmiling and careless… so we didn’t get what we’d ordered and what we did get was mediocre. The whole atmosphere seemed like nobody cared, including the older woman we assumed was the owner who didn’t seem to be noticing how her staff behaved. Very different from other cafes we visited where owners were on the ball and managing their staffs’ conduct all the time. Disappointing, and we won’t go back as there’s much better places and food in the town.

Lovely place, very nice coffee and scone (my wife tells me) and a very good cup of tea and toasted sandwich for me. I can highly recommend!! The lady who served us was very polite and attentive. We really enjoyed our visit.

Friday afternoon around 3 pm and we were in need of a cup of tea (and hopefully a cream tea) on the last day of our holiday in this lovely seaside town. After walking up and down the high street and all cafes were either shut or shutting, we eventually found Apple Tree Cafe and were made very welcome. We both ordered a cream tea, mine with the famous Wortlebury jam, and hubby had strawberry jam. The staff were delightful, the tea was in a pot and the scones were warm and homemade. Well worth a visit.

Food was expensive and as was the bottles of coke. I'm gluten free and was disappointed with the size of the toasted sandwich, it was about 10cm square. Not much for a normal sized person and you got a little dish of coleslaw.

Lovely place to eat. Staff friendly and efficient. Food was good but not exceptional and in my opinion was expensive for what it was. Coffee was weak but a nice flavour. We would have ordered more but the lack of the ability to accept cards made our spend limited tothe amount of cash we had. Advising customers that cash machines are a short distance away is a mistake as they will pass other food outlets in order to obtain cash possibly not returning!

Wanted something different to fish and chips or pub grub, and happened to find Apple Tree Rooms. Sat outside in the garden. Menu had great choice of of food, and it was well prepared and fresh to order. Friendly staff.
