Walking up down The Avenue, there were a few choices, but in the end we went to The Cod Shop.It would have been nice to sit outside, but it had started to rain, so we sat inside.It was a really nice decor inside, there was a blue and white seaside theme throughout the restaurant. People that know how to cook good fish and chips. Passing with our two dogs we popped in to see what this place was like. Sat outside with dogs and we ordered at counter. Very friendly and knowledgable ( owners ) I think. I had GF code and chips, partner sausage chips and curry sauce. All served at the table Fresh crispy batter, hots and crispy chip Epic food Spotless toilets. Inside was spotless and nothing smelt other than freshly cooked food.

We both had the small cod, chips, peas and cup of tea. The portion size was very good, so good that we couldn't eat all of it... so glad we didn't order regular size The food was lovely. The place was clean. Staff polite and helpful. We would definitely recommend this place... ? ? ?
