Went for lunch and what can I say, it might not be your idea of a country pub but it is definitely hitting all the marks.Food was excellent, the staff were amazing and we will be making more Saturday lunch trips out there.10 stars

Great food, refreshing dry cider, helpful chatty host. Really generous cheese ploughman's (lovely Stilton). My wife had cheese omelette, again generous size and loaded with cheese. Not fancy or fussy, but very tasty.

Exactly the sort of local, country pub that many dream of running. We were passing trade looking for somewhere to have dinner after a day out and picked a real winner. Lovely cosy interior, genial host, lovely pub food with big portions and all reasonably priced. Maybe the toilets could do with a little TLC but the rest of the experience was great. Well worth a visit.

Called in here as passing and looked nice. Greeted as soon as we entered by pleasant staff. Ordered a ploughman's lunch. There was cheddar, Stilton, beef and ham on offer. We both asked for half and half. I had cheddar and ham. It was wonderful. Lovelysalad. Pickle and pickle onion. Apple. Crusty white bread. An egg. Crisps. Ham was delicious as was the cheese. Large plateful. Husband had Stilton and beef that was equally as good. He also had a pint of Gorge ale that he was given a taste of before buying. A wonderful meal served by pleasant staff inlovely surroundings..

As always, lovely food. Struggle to finish the Sunday lunch, no room for dessert. Plenty of people in the pub eating, showing how popular it is.

This pub is an old fashioned furnished looking pub has not changed for years. But all clean and the service is so welcoming and warm. The food very comforting good pub food. Fish and chips on Fridays are amazing! Also currys and pies ect all delicious.
