First night of a long weekend in Rode looking after a couple of chocolate Labradors, we were able to sit and eat without the dogs being a problem.Me and my life like real ale and they had a couple of choices from Butcombe brewery, the ale was kept and served well.The menu was great and they helped my wife who is dairy free and marked down all of the items on the menu that were, or could be made, dairy free, great service!When our food came it was lovely, well presented and tasted...read full review

Fab Sunday Lunch. I was dogsitting in the area and Mark kindly booked a table for me for Sunday lunch. The food was great, the staff very pleasant and attentive. Good all round family food, reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this lovely village pub.
