Lovey carvery with a wide choice of food which all tasted delicious. The beef and pork were both cooked beautifully. Very friendly staff throughout the pub. Great little find on a Sunday.
Booked a table for a friend's birthday brilliant staff, always there when we needed them. I had the Chicken balantyne it was absolutely stunning, freshly cooked and really juicy chicken!! Most of the party had the homemade pie which was to die for!! We were made to feel really welcome by all the staff and landlords, such a friendly attentive team!! It was my friend's birthday and the staff helped us with the cake and candles, encouraging the staff and locals to join in singing...read full review

We booked a Sunday Roast for 26 family members, our annual Christmas gathering. We did not know what to expect as we live far away but this pub is halfway for all of us.So accommodating, welcoming atmosphere, very pleasant staff, excellent service. The food was very tasty, plenty of choice, big meal and hot, served with a smile.Highly recommend and thank you to all at The Duke of York ??
