I have visited The Fountain Inn three times now, and unfortunately, I won't be returning for a fourth visit. It’s a shame because I really want to like this place, but I always leave feeling disappointed by the quality of the food. On a positive note, the staff are very welcoming and attentive. They make you feel valued as a customer, which is always a plus.

We really enjoyed our meal here. They are well aware that people often eat here prior to a concert at the Cathedral, as it's so close by. The kitchen make a note of this and ensure you get served promptly. The serving team were very friendly, the menu choice was varied and the prices were fine. We would definitely eat here again as the food was very tasty and cooked to a high standard.

We selected this restaurant from the Tripadvisor reviews for a meal on my birthday while enjoying a three night break in Wells. We were able to locate the restaurant in the morning before our booking. It is just a few minutes walk out of the city centre so an ideal location. When we got inside the interior had a nice warm and friendly atmosphere. Our meals were all excellent and we were very please with the choices that we had made. We had all three courses and they were all well prepared and very nice. The staff were all helpful, efficient and friendly. Would definitely recommend and will definitely eat there again if we go back to wells for a short break.

Such a nice pub with great food, but shame about the No Dogs policy especially when they have finished serving food, and there are empty tables. Perhaps they can afford to turn away custom ?

Visited for dinner during carnival evening, so they were stretched, but both the food and service was good.Dietary restrictions: Good choice for a coeliac. They seemed to know what they were doing.

Good food and choice of local beers, nice atmosphere too. I (stupidly) left my scarf and they went above and beyond to get it back to me - phone call, email and then a member of staff dropped it back to my hotel on their way home. Exceptional service - really grateful.
